  1. Thanks Bob,

Do you know if you are able to book the restaurants directly off the app instead of going to each one?

    Thanks

    Jan

We Have Purchased The 3 Night dining package prior to our cruise .

Upon boarding we went to Chops, and there we were able to make all of our reservations for any Specialty Restaurant. There were 6 in our party. On a previous cruise, we did the same thing, but had 8 in our party. Then all of the reservations appeared on our app.

  2. Yup. Finally.

I can head off on my Harmony of the Seas cruise next week knowing that I won't miss out on the first revelation.

And I will dance around the sprinkling palm trees in the Harmony's Solarium and mock them. llol

Llyod, you will have to let me know if the sprinkling palm trees are working, they had them off in November because they said the water was splashing in the area around it and was causing a slipping hazard.

  3. Well I will take it! It is better than what is on the Harmony. On our second Harmony cruise, the fake Palm Leaves would not even turn on to sprinkle the water. The reason I was given was that the splashing water was making the surrounding area slippery and therefore a danger.

So I will take this small looking "pool" over nothing at all.

It doesn't compare to what's on the Quantum Class ships, but if I want that, I would book on that class. I was content with what is on the Oasis and Allure and this appears to be in that spectrum.

All I am looking for is a "pool" of water that is not a hot tub.

I will be happy with a large hot tub type "pool" that is not heated where you can go to cool off when needed. :)

  4. If you go to "Dining" and click on Izumi Habachi you will see a link to menus. There is both an Izumi Hibachi and a separate sushi area with separate menus. Sorry, we are booked for this on our January Harmony cruise, so can't give any other info, but that the menus are posted on line.

Also, just a 'heads up', it is my understanding that when you pre-book the special (discounted) rates for 2, 3 or 5 nite dining packages that RCI picks out the restaurants, you can't choose them....so we booked what we wanted individually to make certain we got the restaurants of our choice!

Thanks, found it. The 3 Night Speciality Dining Plan at $85 is a great savings. They do deserve your first night for you, but it is easily changed to whatever you want by stopping by any of the restaurants. Then while there we reserved our choices for the remaining 2 nights.

  5. Classes of Cruise Ships have their own features. If all the ships had exactly the same features and layouts then there would not be variety. While I was disappointed that there is not a pool in the Solarium on the Harmony, they are listening. The pool they are putting on The Symohony, appears to be similar to what is on the Oasis and Allure.

The best Solarium Pools are on the Quantum Class. I've sailed on the Quantum and Anthem and spent many hours in those Solarium Pools.

Would I have liked to see that type of pool on the Symphony, sure. But it is a different class of ship.

There are no Bumper Cars or I Fly or North Star on Oasis Class Ships nor is there a Boardwalk, Central Park, or Water/Diving Shows on other class ships.

If you are looking for certain features book on the ship that meets most of your criteria.

  6. The last time we stopped at Labadee, after doing the Zip Line we went to Adreneline Beach. It was extremely rocky. This time we want to spend time on a nice sandy smooth beach after the Zip Line. We are not in a suite or above so we can't do Barefoot Beach Club. Which beach is better Nellie's Beach or Columbus Cove?
