So happy it was resolved. It was the proper resolution. Enjoy Your Cruise And Best Of Health To You!

Yup. Finally.
I can head off on my Harmony of the Seas cruise next week knowing that I won't miss out on the first revelation.
And I will dance around the sprinkling palm trees in the Harmony's Solarium and mock them. llol

Llyod, you will have to let me know if the sprinkling palm trees are working, they had them off in November because they said the water was splashing in the area around it and was causing a slipping hazard.

This USA Today article has a photo of the Solarium pool.

I like the looks of it. Bigger than I was expecting.
Thank You Lloyd!!!

Well I will take it! It is better than what is on the Harmony. On our second Harmony cruise, the fake Palm Leaves would not even turn on to sprinkle the water. The reason I was given was that the splashing water was making the surrounding area slippery and therefore a danger.
So I will take this small looking "pool" over nothing at all.
It doesn't compare to what's on the Quantum Class ships, but if I want that, I would book on that class. I was content with what is on the Oasis and Allure and this appears to be in that spectrum.
All I am looking for is a "pool" of water that is not a hot tub.
I will be happy with a large hot tub type "pool" that is not heated where you can go to cool off when needed. :)

Solarium Pool On Symphony Of The Seas
-
I just booked my second cruise on the Symphony. When will I be able to get a glimpse of the Solarium Pool?
-
Any photos of the Completed Solarium Pool yet?
-
Bin 18 (18th and Biscayne) offers great tapas and an extensive wine and craft beer list. about a 2-block walk from the Doubletree.
Thanks
-
Thanks for all the suggestions. We booked the Hilton Double Tree Grand Biscane Bay with a bay view. Keeping an eye on any price drops at the Epic and Marriot Marquis.
-
Sorry, your ship has already sailed!!! LOL
Lol, yes that date has passed. We will be sailing on the Symphony on November 24, 2018!
-
We always stay at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay (for us, Marriott is a consistent, high-quality product). When do you embark?

All my other Cruises have been out of Ft Lauderdale, and I have my favorite hotels for the day before. First time sailing out Miami. Can anyone offer suggestions for a nice pre cruise hotel in Miami relatively close to the Cruise Port? Thanks!

Love the photos. Waiting patiently for pictures of the Solarium pool.

Oops, I guess that menu is useless to the OP then. Thanks for the update.
Found this from Oasis. See the Teppanyaki section:

Thanks, perfect!!

If you go to "Dining" and click on Izumi Habachi you will see a link to menus. There is both an Izumi Hibachi and a separate sushi area with separate menus. Sorry, we are booked for this on our January Harmony cruise, so can't give any other info, but that the menus are posted on line.
Also, just a 'heads up', it is my understanding that when you pre-book the special (discounted) rates for 2, 3 or 5 nite dining packages that RCI picks out the restaurants, you can't choose them....so we booked what we wanted individually to make certain we got the restaurants of our choice!
Thanks, found it. The 3 Night Speciality Dining Plan at $85 is a great savings. They do deserve your first night for you, but it is easily changed to whatever you want by stopping by any of the restaurants. Then while there we reserved our choices for the remaining 2 nights.

Here is a thread with an Izumi menu from Anthem. Should give you an good idea.
Thank you, Bob.
-
Can anyone give me details on the Hibachi Experience on the Harmony. Looking for menu information and pricing. I was only able to find the a la carte sushi pricing.
I do have the 3 night Speciality Dining Plan.
-
Sanctuary pool looks interesting! Looks kind of like a fight 8 design.
-
Does anyone know if the Escape the Rubicon,
Escape Room Puzzle is the same as the inaugural sailing or has it changed? I don't want to book it if it is the same one.
-
I loved Bob's idea of Jersey Boy's!!

Classes of Cruise Ships have their own features. If all the ships had exactly the same features and layouts then there would not be variety. While I was disappointed that there is not a pool in the Solarium on the Harmony, they are listening. The pool they are putting on The Symohony, appears to be similar to what is on the Oasis and Allure.
The best Solarium Pools are on the Quantum Class. I've sailed on the Quantum and Anthem and spent many hours in those Solarium Pools.
Would I have liked to see that type of pool on the Symphony, sure. But it is a different class of ship.
There are no Bumper Cars or I Fly or North Star on Oasis Class Ships nor is there a Boardwalk, Central Park, or Water/Diving Shows on other class ships.
If you are looking for certain features book on the ship that meets most of your criteria.
-
Well it is not like on the Quantum Class. But I didn't expect that. It appears similar in size to what is on the Oasis and Allure. It is a place to gather and cool off and not be in a hot tub.
No matter what, I'll take it. Way better than the Palm Leaf Sprinkler!!

The last time we stopped at Labadee, after doing the Zip Line we went to Adreneline Beach. It was extremely rocky. This time we want to spend time on a nice sandy smooth beach after the Zip Line. We are not in a suite or above so we can't do Barefoot Beach Club. Which beach is better Nellie's Beach or Columbus Cove?

We Have Purchased The 3 Night dining package prior to our cruise .
Upon boarding we went to Chops, and there we were able to make all of our reservations for any Specialty Restaurant. There were 6 in our party. On a previous cruise, we did the same thing, but had 8 in our party. Then all of the reservations appeared on our app.
