I booked a cruise close to the sail date once.
The RC rep taking the reservation offered a handicap cabin to me and told me that someone who would actually need that type of cabin typically books well in advance and are not last minute planners.

You each get one 24 hr. period of free internet. Those 2 sessions can be used back to back or a few days apart. What a lot of us do is; one of you log in at 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon. Now you have 24 hrs. from that point on so you will have access to the internet for a good part of 2 days. Then your spouse logs in on another day using the same scenario. That way you'll have internet access for a good portion of 4 days
This is what we do closer to the end of the cruise so we can do our boarding passes.

I cruise in the fall also . We went western caribbean instead of eastern once .

The porter that takes your bags can tag your bags with your room number .
They would most likely be expecting a tip .
I tip 5 bucks for two bags as i print mine at home and have them staple them to my bags.

I have my shows booked but I would like to change the time of one of the shows. When I get on the cruise will their be a person to help me at the comedy attic on deck 4 or will there be more show availability on the app on embarkation day?
The comedy club is a small venue and gets filled up very quickly .
Dont cancel if you feel you cant get another slot.
Its the hardest one to get into, from the standby line.
All the others , not so much.

I heard the Seinfeld Soup n**i is the head chef on that ship ..... NO FOOD FOR YOU !

I would go with traditional early dining with that many people. You will have a reserved table.
MTD starts around 645 pm , and you may have a long wait for a big table.
With little ones , its no fun waiting around especially if they are hungry.

I know I will get slammed for this but (with the exception that we loved every minute spent cruising with adult Children and Grandchilren) our late June 2023 sailing on the Oasis was the worst cruising experienc of all 26 RCI crusies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would anyone slam you , you like what you like , and thats ok .
Many like Serenade , but not me , i will never book another cruise on that class.

Comedy club may be tougher to book late as its a small venue.
If you are interested in that i would try to book that one in the app on boarding day .

I think my favorite features of Oasis class are:
Dedicated walking/jogging track - no chairs to dodge!
Vitality cafe - love the smoothies
Track is covered so the sun doesnt roast you.
And they will allow a diamond drink voucher to purchase a smoothie too 🙂

You can use them for fresh squeezed OJ , bottled water, and specialty coffee if you arent a big drinker.
As also previously mentioned you can get specialty coffee in the Crown lounge at no additional charge
and not use a voucher.( You may not have access to the lounge between 5 -8 pm )
We never got through all our vouchers , so we collected bottled water at the end of the evening .

I like Oasis, but I wish they had a real outside promenade. This was a key part of any cruise ship. The Icon has some interesting improvements to the Indoor Promenade .
Double decker promenade and the large window enhances it .
My hope is that RC might incorporate those two features in future plans .

Oasis class is my favorite , yay !
Dont like any ship without a promenade .
I hope they drop cruise fares on the older Oasis class as they introduce the newer ships .

My saved photo works .
I wear a darker colored shirt against a light background.

My hope is all the cruise lines built new big ships to create more cabins available , so that the price
hopefully goes down .
-
I like it , Oasis class is my favorite .
And hopefully they will lower the pricing on the older ships in the class.
I dont need to cruise on the new shiny ones .

Greetings All!
We're going on the Liberty on April 8th from Fort Lauderdale. We'll be getting the train from Orlando ( hitting up the parks the week before 😉 ). Just wondering, does anyone have the schedule for the Liberty? As in when it leaves Fort Lauderdale, when check in is open etc. I can't find the information anywhere including on the RCL site.. which is bizarre. We just need to know what train to book
Thanks and Peace
Robbie
Just did a mock booking , and it departs at 430 pm.
I believe you need to be checked in 90 minutes prior to that time.
I would want to be on the ship well before 3 pm.

We had MTD on Harmony at 630 and we would show up at 6 pm .
No lines and we would be seated within 5 minutes .
We needed a two top and as long as you dont mind having different wait staff it worked out nicely.
The wait staff was wonderful , regardless of which floor we were sent to, as they use all 3 floors
for first seating.

Riverside on Los Olas Blvd was nice. Vibrant street . Nice breakfast at the hotel ( not included )
I believe the Tower section is newer .

It varies greatly by ship. I have seen both scenarios.
I've may have also had to make it operational by emptying the grounds myself on more than one occasion.
I have also emptied the grounds while another passenger located the beans and we had the machine up and running in minutes . 🙂

As long as i have access to the coffee machine in the crown lounge at all other times besides 5 - 8 pm,
i dont mind at all .

I rarely take pictures and never get the free ones either .

I put a sheet of paper inside the outside zippered flap of the luggage with my name and cell #.
This is a back up to the luggage tag on the bag.
And i have an apple air tag too.

Check with some travel agents , as they may have group rates and they could be lower than published rates by the cruise lines .
