Deck - Sky
Cabin # - 9259
Class – C1-Congierge--Didn't pay extra!
Starboard or Port Side - Port
Bed near?(balcony or bath) –balcony
Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Yes, Very.
Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No. Spent a lot of time on balcony--better than lounge chairs in public areas.
Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal size. Enough room for table, two chairs and two ottomans.
Is it possible that you have put in the wrong cabin number? Cabin #9259 is a C3 on the Panaroma Deck with a regular sized balcony.

Just a suggestion. We walked outside of the gates and were walking into town when we saw some 3 wheel vehicles (2 people). There were 8 of us and we drove them around the southern part of the island and into town later. We had a blast! On our tour around, we stopped at the Tiki Hut which was a restaurant and a beach. If we'd planned and brought our suits and more time, we could have gone swimming. Would do this again. If we ever return to Bonaire, we WILL do it.
That sounds like fun. How much did that cost?
Thanks:)

The deck plans on all the S-Class ships show Stateroom 9237 as having the bed by the bath. You can take that to the bank!!!
Easy does it Wine-O. There is no need to shout!
Oops!! I repeated the same mistake twice:eek: Ignore the other replies by me.
Yes, yes the bed is near the Bathroom!

The Captain was wonderful..OUT!!!
You made me laugh. We waited everyday to hear his noon time update. I found if people were chatting at that time every one would shoosh them. He was great entertainment.

Thanks for starting this thread:)
I'm back on the Solstice in 2 weeks. You have reminded me of something I had forgotten...can't wait for the noon updates!

Ooooohhhhh - I was unaware that this issue had not been fixed! Yes according to that post the "best" angled/hump balconies on VISTA deck would actually be:
Vista Deck: 8197, 8160, 8253, 8257, 8226, 8230, 8279, 8283, 8252, 8262
That'll teach me for trusting the supposedly updated deckplans!
Okay. Now I am really confused. I don't get cabin 8262. Maybe, I'm not seeing something. Even if they are off by 1 cabin, how does 8262 become a large hump cabin.
Help!

Obviously no one reads the previous posts so please create your own thread for this question and reserve this one for my collection of information.
Thank you
Please, please, please:)
I'm going to be sailing on Sunday on the Solstice, and some of you have reviewed rooms very near mine (Sunrise - 7169). Your reviews are very reassuring. It's only our second cruise, and we loved our previous exprience on the Millenium (in 2006).Anyone of you have a clear picture of the verandas in general? The reason I'm asking is that I've seen the reviews on this site of the Solstice (it's hit or miss in general, it seems), and one of the problem seems to be finding chairs in the pool area during days at sea. We're not big fans of the sun in general (we're from Quebec, so we don't tan, we burn), and I was wondering if we can't find chairs in the shades, is hanging on the veranda for a day a quiet and relaxing experience? A picture would give me an idea.
Anyone can help?

Thank you, Host Anne, for making this a sticky.:)
Thanks Mysticks1 for all the work that you are doing.:)
And I too implore everyone to keep this thread for posting info about the cabins, only.

Hosts:)
Do you think we can make this a sticky? It has such valuable information. The thread can grow if it was a sticky at the top of the page

Rupert: :)
Did you get much noise from the service utility closet next to #7364?

Here is a picture from Solstice showing some familiar faces from Connie: Zeljko (Michael's Club on Connie), Liz and Tolgashan in their new bar uniforms.
I am looking forward to sitting across the bar from Tolgashan... great bartender. He told us his name was something like, Togi. Can you help me out with this?

My 9 year old grandson wants a fan from Barcelona. Where did you find the best variety and prices?
I love all these ideas and most seem not too expensive. I am curious about the Olive Oil Soap. I hadn't heard of that before. Must be great since a couple of you mentioned it. Keep the ideas coming!
I bought some in Barcelona and some in Malaga. Surprisingly, they are not that easy to find. I found them on my wanderings through the shopping areas.

I bought some beautiful fans in Barcelona. They are hand painted and I always get compliments on them.

After many months of trying, I was able to get the Westin Times Square for $151 for Dec 22-26th.:) The price for these dates are $384 per day, on their website

I read something about how to use priceline, but how soon do you need to make a reservation to get good prices, like you do with the hilton???
I read something about a week before your stay?
Thanks.
I got that 3 months before. As Emmy says, you must read BiddingForTravel. I also, always book a canceable reservation somewhere else. This way you won't get stressed by bidding.

Definitely, the Hilton Marina, especially if your staying for a few days:
- a beautiful pool area
-right next to a water taxi stop
-restaurants and shopping a few blocks away
-the Hilton is a 4* hotel...Doubletree is not.
