  1. I HIGHLY doubt a group of kids will show up to the slide and tell the attendant they all saw this on TV and want to do it too.

On that note, I'm sure there are people mad at Wendy's because they ordered an Asiago Ranch Chicken Club and now the sandwich can't drive a motorcyle as seen on TV.

...seriously? When did everyone become so sensitive about EVERYTHING?

  2. Reading these boards you see the mention of people who get seasick... I never have, not even in the roughest of water.

So my question to you all... In NORMAL weather, do you get seasick?

[Note: We are not talking about super storms where they bring out the upchuck bags. I'm talking about just regular sailings.]

  3. I didn't read any of the replies yet... but I just had to chime in. I live in Miami. It's HOT all the time. Cold for us is 70. You get the point...

I hate cruising the caribbean in the winter because the water temps at the beaches (to me) are FREEZING. In fact while we can go to Miami Beach any weekend and we actually choose to wait until May/June because the water is just too darn cold.

You cruise the caribbean in the SUMMER for "prime" beach time. Warmer water. Hot temps and lots of sunshine. Sigh. I need a fruity drink and a beach NOW. :)

  4. I did my bachelorette party on the Imagination in 2010 on a 3 day to the Bahamas. It was a BLAST! We were a party of 10 and there was never a dull moment.

Like a previous poster mentioned, the class of ship is older and not the most updated but you guys will have a wonderful time!

  5. I am convinced any time they announce ANY sort of change this board will always find SOMETHING to complain about.

Take a hint from the other boards... Can we be happy about ANYTHING around here?

This is a cute idea... And for the person who said for characters they would cruise Disney. Let me remind you RCCL has characters onboard as well. Do you cruise FOR them? No. Are they a cute addition to the cruise that can be easily ignored? Yup.

  6. Have a great vacation.

But why punish your kids. Take them along next time and have a memorable vacation for the whole family. What better place than on a Carnival FUN Ship.

Ugh. Adults need time for themselves without their children. That's NOT punishing your kids. That's taking care of your marriage.

  7. I saw an idea on Pinterest I really liked!

You can get a BIG box and put some red and blue balloons (filled with helium) inside, tie the boarding pass to the end of them. Stuff all of that into the box and wrap it up. This way when she opens the box the balloons will all float out of there with her gift on the end! :)

Obviously this is something you would have to do the next day since I doubt you can get balloons filled on Christmas morning.

  8. I'm with a few others on here! I would continue sailing CCL because I love their ships.

But I would obviously splurge on the cabin, not think twice about shore excursions or bar tabs, go to the spa and steakhouse every day and... probably stay at the Ritz pre and/or post cruise ;) LOL!

  9. Junkanoo Beach in Nassau is within walking distance. You have to walk towards Senor Frogs and then continue around it. Just follow the sidewalk and you will get there. It's a bit of a walk but its not too bad.

Our experience was okay, the water was good and you have a great view of the ships in port.

The downside, (not really that bad but it's something you might want to consider) there were a lot of locals there. We felt "watched" at times and some little girls kept swimming around me making references to my wedding rings. It was kind of creepy but just don't bring anything too valuable with you and you should be fine. :)

  10. LOL... The fashion show was way worse than the carpet store we were kidnapped to. We were fed before that though but the carpet store was intense.

My husband and I tried to leave mid-presentation and our tour guide was outside the door not letting us. I asked if I could cross the street to purchase a magnet and postcard and he flat out told me I was NOT allowed. We waited until he wasnt looking and ran off... then hid behind a bush until he wasn't looking again and made it back on the bus. It was the best part of our day!:D

  11. You are the SWEETEST husband for planning all of this for your wife... it looks like you had the trip of a lifetime! This itinerary is AWESOME and you are reminding me of my cruise last year... some of the photos you've taken are at the identical spots I took some silly shots too!

Happy belated anniversary, I wish you both many many more years of love and happiness. :D
