Medical expenses on the ship are very expensive. My husband had a night in the ship's hospital and it was around $3000!

Exlondoner, that was just the final straw. After that I put all of the little incidents to the Maitre'd we never saw our original waiter again. 

Currently there are 4 gala nights listed for our QA voyage in September. Our last cruise, pre Covid, only had 3.

We have been on one cruise which had 4 gala nights but was reduced to 3 once on board. As the other ladies on our table had also taken 4 outfits we had our own extra dress up night. Our waiter was rather rude about us dressing up but that was dealt with.

Make sure that whatever cover you get gives you a good amount for repatriation.

I am currently following a low fat diet for medical reasons. Has anyone notified Cunard that they were following this type of diet. If so, are you given the next day's menu to choose from or do they have a separate menu? We recently stayed at a hotel and I ate off the normal menu, although puddings were a bit problematic.

We were allowed to take our adult son to the World Club party, we asked before taking him with us. Can't comment on anything else.

I was reading what to pack for evenings and, for smart attire, the suggestion for ladies is skirt and top or cocktail dress. I'm sure it used to just say dress. I am quite happy if it has changed.
