As well as making the cabin darker we haven't been able to watch the sea from the bed.

Whenever I have been on board there has bern a notice at the Pursers desk saying that the ship is fully booked so it is unlikely that you could change your room once on board.

Don't forget a camera.

Our family was allowed to board with us.

Can you change your room to an accessible one where this shouldn't be an issue?

Just a thought, but could this be because if someone with breathing issues contracts Covid they could need more support than the ship can provide?

It will probably be cheaper to change your money before you leave home.

Regarding your comment about dressing up, we were on a cruise that listed 4 formal nights before we left home but only 3 once on  board. The other ladies at our table were disappointed as, like me, they had taken 4 formal outfits. We decided  between us to have our own 4th formal night. The waiter rudely told us that it was not a formal night but we felt good about ourselves. Nobody pointed at us so dress up if you want to.

When we have travelled QG I have requested kedgeree a day in advance and it wasn't a problem. This was before it was a regular item in the Lido.

We asked our room steward if he could open the balcony partitions between our 3 rooms and it was no trouble.

Please don't cancel based on a couple of negative replies. Dress code questions are always causing arguments.

Going back to QM2s first refit, my sons booked the cheapest cabin for the first trip after the refit. It was 3 or 4 nights. The ship came out of refit early, they got another 2 nights at no extra cost and were upgraded to a glass fronted balcony. At the time it was a 16 cabin upgrade. 

Whenever we have done b2b there have been limited excursions offered by Cunard. We have been on a New York Highlights and a trip to Liberty Island and Ellis Island.

We booked a sheltered balcony as that was all available when we booked. We paid to upgrade to Britannia Club when it became available and 3 days before we were due to leave we were up graded to PG. This was for a 28 night cruise.

We have often sat outside on deck 12, just outside the Pavilion Pool. Generally quiet there.

You also have the sun deck on deck13.

I have used them but get frustrated when people are only washing 2 pairs of underwear. I also was using one when a woman claimed 2 driers for I wash load.

We use them for lectures and non gala nights. I move my seat so that the screen doesn't get in my way.
