Vero Beach has lots of trade name hotels that are all fairly nice and right off I-95, unless you want to stay at the beach which is about 8 miles from I-95. Hotels here are much more expensive, but the area at the beach is beautiful with great restaurants. Fort Pierce HIE is wonderful, but it was filled with truckers. and I mean FILLED with truckers. Not a negative. Not too many places to eat there. You need to have a car and drive to the beach front.

You should buy all the insurance you can.. we buy full insurance so all we have to do is hand the rental company the key fob. We have had more dents, dings, smashed bumpers, flat tires in Italy...not because of us but because of the "others."

Hertz, Budget and Avis are right there on the main drag.

We love the Hotel Mozart! It's charming and right off the Corso and very near Spanish Steps.

The Seawalk is beautiful and very much expanded. We enjoyed our day there.

Saltwater Moms are the best! It was like being transported by your best. friend.
