  1. Yes I actually spoke with the owner. He said "Its California we love dogs" He was a nice guy but still couldnt figure out how he managed to get that dog onboard and then have the dog roam around off leash. Dog did stay near him and came when called.
  2. I asked my wife does she have a picture but it was an Australian Shepherd 100%. Looked exactly like this guy. Tail docked and different colored eyes too
  3. We recently went out of California on the radiance and there was an off leash dog roaming around the ship. This is the first time Ive ever seen a dog aboard a cruise line. This was NOT a service animal but a guy's pet. This was also a full grown dog and not a puppy roaming on the deck off leash. Does carnival allow pets on ships?
  4. It’s 3 times per day 8-12 1-5 and night owls 6-10 if you are looking to keep your kids onboard while you and your significant other try to enjoy excursion life it is very difficult as you have to check the child out midday.
  5. Seems alot more people are platinum now. Platinum is the new Gold.
  6. Looks like some moderator failed to read the actual content and moved it to the Cozumel board. 🤦‍♂️ Ok thanks for the tips I will look into them
  7. I posted this over in the Cozumel forum but it is dead over there. Ages 8-13 kids. Are there any good non excursion tours (cheaper) that are good for a family of 5 with kids? I did an excursion tour with my wife only last time we were in cozumel about 7 years ago and it was expensive since it was a ship sponsored excursion.

  9. Got it thank you! Never knew that was there. I always use the search on the top
  10. This kind of goes with Carnival as well as other cruise lines. Why can't we search by destination specifically? Lets say I want to see all ships that go to Curacao. Why do they only allow Caribbean? That is a very, very large range of places. Is there any website that allows you to search down to the destination island or location?
  11. Agreed. The one Carnival docks at is boring. The downtown pier is the best. Lots to see and do. Don't have to take a cab to go many places as it is all right there
  12. Usually when cruising we go to one terminal that has a lot of vans and out door vendors which is a short drive from chankanaab. Last time we went to Cozumel they dropped us off in another part that looked more like a downtown area. It was very busy, lots of shops and buildings. I remember going to a Hooters close by for wifi. It was a much better port than the usual. What determines which port the ship goes to?
  13. Extremely unacceptable. The last show ends around 1030ish. people are hungry after. Not having anywhere to eat is a disaster.
  14. massage and casino work fine . They are open in the evening so thats when we went to gamble. We got the massage during the hours they were open as well.
  15. Is this steak any different than what you get in the dining room?
  16. I remember a guy named Butch on the breeze a few years back. He was excellent
  17. Yes it was available but last I checked they close 3 times per day for cleaning (Covid change), making it impossible for us as a married couple to go on excursions. They closed for lunch and we had to pick up our kids which for excursions usually last through lunch. So we had to take them onshore with us and they are too young to do many excursions So be forewarned if that was your intention.
  18. At the end of the cruise I recall them saying if you book your next cruise onboard then you get special deals. Is this true? Also on another note staying on deck 2 in the back of the ship, do you feel alot of rocking and get motion sickness?
  19. Disagree with this. This can be a family trip as well as a little one on one with mom and dad alone. Too many parents get too wrapped up in their kids and forget about their spouse. They don't realize that before the kids it was the spouse.
  20. .. Yea i did. Literally an England and Spain transatlantic cruise that just so happens to make a stop in... You guessed it... grand turk. Which is the whole reason for the thread. When even the European cruises have to make stops here it brings up questions as to why and what is so special about this place
  21. My wife and I have a suite that fits 5 but it's only us on the original itinerary. The grandparents said that they can't watch the kids during this time so we may have to bring them with us. Is carnival flexible to add them to the itinerary and stay in our suite? Anyone have any experience with this?
  22. An overwhelming majority of cruise itineraries go to Grand turk. I even saw a transatlantic cruise on jubilee from europe that sure enough has a single stop in grand turk. What is the deal with this place? I went to grand turk about 7 years ago and it was pretty boring. I remember a lighthouse and a beach We were done in about 1 hour.. What is the deal with this island on so many itineraries?
  23. Yep I figured there was a catch. The cruise is $25 on carnival but the taxes and port fees are $511 dollars. Why?
  24. My wife and I have been on a ton of carnival cruises. We will make it to platinum on our next cruise. All of our cruises have been out of Florida or California to hot destinations. We recently came across these alaskan cruises that are like 25 bux per person which is just amazing. I want to go but am having a hard time convincing her to go to Alaska. How different is the alaskan cruise compared to the others? We are in our late 30s so she is also concerned about the cruise being full of 60 - 70 year olds.
