Labadee is a walled fortress.  You can only book excursions inside the fortified privately owned area.

You have a loose definition of a walled fortress. This is the backside of Labadee.

Oh, don’t worry, they won’t stay in Haiti for long.

Yep, our son is a Border Patrol Agent. Shop talk is that many will be crossing the Texas or Arizona border within a month. Easy for them to fly into Mexico and join a caravan.

So at the Diamond, D+ and Pinnacle levels, you get the following as one of the benefits:

"Complimentary daily non-alcoholic drinks up to $14 (excludes Starbucks and Desserted)"

(Can I assume this 'stacks' with the corresponding alcoholic drinks?)

Other than 'mocktails' what would all be included in this benefit?

Your drinks can be bottled water, specialty coffees, Mock-tails, Cocktails, fresh juice, smoothies, and adult milkshakes from JR. . Any drink under $14. Drinks are available in just about any bar, dining room or showroom.  Voucher drinks are also shareable with others. There is no included tip for the server.  Start as soon as you board and are reset each morning at 5am. Vouchers are used in the Crown Lounge which has a pretty good selection on appetizers every night during HH, your drink are pre loaded on your sea pass each day, be sure to let the server know if you do not want to use a voucher for a drink you are ordering. If you don't use all your vouchers you can get unopened beer and cokes to take back to your cabin.

Thanks for the information. What sailing in October are you doing? It was October that we were looking at.

Cruise lines dot com just named  Allure of the seas as the number 1 overall cruise ship of all ships in any main line cruise company. I just tried to post the findings but CC has my post on hold.

I have 81 credits - so it seems I can get 4 drinks (up to $14) a day. My husband is sailing with me - so is it 4 drinks per person or per cabin - thanks!

Per Person, good at just about any bar, showroom or dining venue. If you go over the $14 you usually get billed for the difference with the difference getting hit with the 18%. I have gone over the $14 many times and was only charged at the Bamboo Room .

First decide if you want to visit Rome.  You won’t if you’re just flying in and going straight to the cruise port in Cavitavecchia.

Our cruise ended in “Rome” and we took a private car booked through our hotel and visited Rome for a few days.  You could do the reverse.

We are planning our first TA cruise out of Barcelona in November, so I am also looking for port/hotel info for there. Hopefully spending 2 days pre cruise.

We have done several TA'S out of Barcelona OCT/NOV.  Each time we stayed at Hotel 1898, upscale in the center of La Rambla, very quiet in the hotel,  within walking distance of Sagrada Familia , across from the underground, 10 minute taxi to the port. As soon as you leave the Med it is t shirts and shorts all the way to FLL. check it out. happy TA cruising, it is now our favorite way to cruise, wife and I both in our 70s and we love Oasis Class transatlantics. FYI Port side gets the sun all day, starboard never sees the sun.

Do you know if that's the regular children's menu?  On other lines it's free for kids to eat from the children's menu, but they have to pay if they order off the main menu.  I have to say I don't really see why they'd charge more if the kids aren't eating special food.

It is a different kids menu + You are taking up space using a four top instead of a two top.

  8. these are included. I have never been charged extra for any drink I have ordered except from the Bamboo room where I got hit for $1.20 on a Deluxe Mia Tia. They even added the 18% to the dollar over.

Thanks I wasn't thinking about Hibachi as I can see how that would be weird, I was thinking more like Chops, Central 151, the Mexican place or Jamie's Italian restaurant.

Would your kids not get very bored just watching you eat for 90 minutes.  Why not include them in your meal, I think kids eat at specialty for around $10 from the kids menu.

How is that Brazilian steak house, anyway?  I've never seen it on any other ship. Thinking about booking it when we cruise Radiance later this year.  FWIW....we are meat lovers.

Samba Grill... Meat lover here also, we have had it several times on Allure and it was very good. They had a very good salad bar that I mostly skipped and just filled up with the meat.  Did save a little room for a chocolate desert.  As I remember it they came around the table every few minutes with new offerings.

    Hi

As I understand it as a Diamond member I can get up to 4 alcoholic drinks per day.  If true, do I get coupons in my cabin?  Is there something on my card that the bar tenders recognize me as a Diamond member?  Or each time I get a drink, at a bar or at dinner, do I have to tell the server that I'm a Diamond member and that this drink is free for me?

    Any info would be helpful.

    Thanks

    Charles

Be careful in the MDR, often they run the drinks on one seapass even though you hand them two.  After the first night they usually don't even ask for your sea pass card, they just add it to the primary guest.  Same goes for the showrooms, just give them one card and know it will be hit with two drinks. I usually give them my sea pass in the MDR and give them my wife's card in the showrooms.  If you have a drink on boarding day before you get the sea pass cards on your door just let the bartender know tour cabin number. PS, pretty good coffee in the  Diamond/ Crown lounge. They will use a voucher for drinks in the Crown lounge now.

  12. Try rcldining@rccl.com. We have used this many times and requests have always been fulfilled.  Give them your name, cabin number, ship and sailing date. Let them know what area you would like and table size. Email at two weeks before sail date.  We have requested a table for two on the balcony railing late dining several times and have always been given that request.
