I was thinking of putting in a bid to upgrade my son's and his family's room on the Silhouette from a Concierge to a suite, mainly for them to have a bit more space and bath in the bathroom which would be so much better for them as they have 2 very young children. But if the bid is successful, how would the extra cost of the tips work? We've got free tips as part of our current booking and I know that the tips cost more in a suite. Will the extra be automatically included or does the extra have to be paid?

Not sure about the tips but if you’re not in a suite too there will be areas that they can go and you can’t.

Just had my Eurofins PCR test at Courtyard Hotel Luton, well signposted and organised. Would recommend this site for anyone in the area.

Friendly staff, and register your car at reception for free car parking as well.

Only critique of Eurofins was that the app showed my test at Raffles Hotel, Singapore!

How did you get that sorted. I had the same and Eurofins couldn’t help and neither did Celebrity?

We’re in exactly the same position and it’s a first suite treat for us.
Just wondering what to spend our cruise credit on but some of it will be on some Scotch whilst in Inverness looking at the scenery from the ship. Not going to let wee nicola change the rules and spoil it for us!

We looked at the ‘Elevate’ package for the mini bar, etc and it was over £1000 each so that option was quickly deleted!

As all the suites have sold out the Retreat and Luminae will be the busiest areas on the ship so maybe it’ll be an idea to spend the credit in Tuscan!

    See you on the 14th.

If you booked the suite do you not automatically get the elevate package?

Malta are now happy with the NHS app from today.

But yes requesting a paper copy which will take 5 days is probably wise. What if your phone is lost?

You can download and print it from the app which has a QR code on it. Hopefully they will accept that if phone or app playing up.

  5. When we were on Constellation with a smaller Luminae we were recommended to book so we did. There were a couple of times we had to wait a bit even then. On Silhouette we just turned up when we liked and no problem. sometimes have to wait while they clean a table but not long.

With  these summer uk cruises I’m expecting to have to book so they can space everyone. Although sailing at reduced capacity I’m not confident that they haven’t sold all the suites. Also the uk crowd tend to eat later so I imagine the later slots will be the busiest.

As a suite guest (pre COVID) you can also dine in Blu (Aqua restaurant) on a space available basis.

ive never seen queues at the restaurant door or anything like that in Luminae but who knows with these unique cruises.

Just wanted to add that your Butler and Concierge will want to keep you happy so they will be suggesting booking etc if they feel the need.

The Tracelet reminds me of the Magic Bands Disney uses. Disney doesn’t use it (yet) to trace contacts, but they sure do trace where and when you use it. Fortunately, Disney is transitioning to using the app on your phone so the MB is optional.

What I want to know is, do I have to wear it on my wrist, or, it is acceptable just to have it with me, such as in a handbag or pocket?   Don’t mind wearing it during the day, but would like to be able to have an option for the evening. Happy to keep the Tracelet with me, just not on my wrist.

It says in the rules from Celebrity it needs to be worn on the wrist. I would think they want it to be visible. Also you could leave your bag at the table and go for a wander and therefore wouldn’t be correctly tracked.

I contacted our local place Eurofins is using. Apparently, as has been said, they are ‘renting’ space. Ours is a local Travel Agency. Eurofins are visiting them on the 28th June to set up the process. It sounds like Eurofins are supplying the people to oversee the testing. The manager took my email and said he would let me know if there were any issues with Eurofins, which I felt was very good of him. We are on the 17th July sailing, so third one in and hopefully any issues should be ironed out by then. I don’t envy those of you on the first two sailings.

I’ve booked my own test as Eurofins have me down as  a Singapore passenger and want me to book Raffles and Celebrity and Eurofins haven’t resolved this.

That's good to know as we booked our Boots test as we would have to drive 4 or 5 hours to our nearest eurofins test site! Interesting to know that we were told Boots use the eurofins labs. Bet they (eurofins) won't guarantee our results are back in time though.

I have read On social media that they guarantee result back before sailing. What worries me is if you have a 12 noon check in you could be still sitting in the port waiting till 6 pm for your result. Great if you’re positive. How many people have you infected meanwhile.

  9. I think with all the negative reviews and the fact that Eurofin still thinks we are in Singapore and are recommending Raffles for our test (even though Celebrity sent me a link to fix this which surprise surprise it didn’t) we will look for a test elsewhere. I so wanted to go through their provider but when I read stuff that the venues are not trained etc it is so worrying.

    Hello,

The X website has an updated table of requirements vs countries.

The PCR test for UK departures now says "72 hours prior to boarding".

What worries is me to what set of rules will the check-in agents be working - if any!

    Regards,

    Cublet

This has said boarding before the latest query was raised.

No, it should be anyone who is staying in the Retreat. If sailing from the US there is a number to reach out to if you want to contact them specifically but everyone in the retreat should be sent a preference email eg pillow types etc. As we are not in the US I was. told at time of booking that ALL Retreat guests will be reached out to at 30 days sailing.

That’s interesting. We have never had an email when staying in a sky suite. However, when we sail Royal Caribbean in any suite we get the email.

When you log into the NHS app you need to select "share your covid-19 status" and it'll take you to the QR code page and the option to print a PDF letter.

Thanks. I saw that but wasn’t comfortable sharing my info but I take it you are only sharing it with the people you want to. I thought it was allowing access to all and sundry.

The QR code in the app is valid for period of time (the date is underneath the code) after which it automatically updates as the cetificate in the app is 'live'. If you download or print a copy it will only be vaid up to the expirty date when you will have to downlaod or print again.

I have got the nhs app and it shows my vaccinations but where is the qr code and bit where you can download or print a copy?  Thanks.

I would think you are responsible for getting your own results, as you say the staff will be too busy at check in. I hope your missing email does not mean you will have to book two different times, or worse still, with the delay there are very little options left for your booking.

From what I hear, I have very little confidence in the service being offered by Eurofins.

Every time I get an email from celebrity I get a duplicate - I don’t know why?  So I thought I will check the duplicate for this and it had my husband’s link!

According to celebs twitter feed Eurofins have guranteed to Celeb that pax will get the results on time - doesnt say what happens if they dont though so its a bit of an empty statement

They are also saying they will have a definite answer to the boarding/departing 72hr time frame on Monday.

With regard to the boarding/sailing 72 hours issue why on earth didn’t they sort this out before sending the emails.
