  1. Sounds yummy. When choosing cheese I occasionally chose cheddar, so the occasional cheddar was probably P&O taking up my suggestion.
  2. I cooked Christmas Dinner for 5 people. It was about an hour late. I am not going to offer any compensation and if any had complained I would tell them their option's for next year.
  3. They didn't print that story in the mail, tut, tut. We are all doomed.
  4. They have never lied to me. I don't believe most stuff companies say, so don't get too disappointed when things aren't 100%.
  5. My Mum used to do that...She would tell everybody.....You'll never guess what he has gone and done this time.🤔
  6. We visited guest services on Iona when we couldn't get a table in Epicurian. We told them we knew Graham and Pauline. We got the booking we wanted straight away.
  7. Since the " app " we have carried our phones, before that they stayed in the safe.
  8. You right, of course. Genuine issues should be reported and dealt with In the buffet on Britannia in October a Lady was ,arms outstretched, uttering in a very loud voice...no coops, there are no coops( the waiter was just putting 2 new trays out......they're behind you....oh! a minute ago there were no blooming coops. 🤣
  9. We were in Silhouette to Norway in June. The WiFi was pretty naff, but who really cares. Those who wanted to work could upgrade. We didn't bother as we were in 5G range most of the time.....what busy, busy lives some folk lead. I remember setting my out of office... Zap is on holiday..back in 2 weeks.
  10. We take about 6 holidays a year. Things seldom go 100% to plan. As long as it is fairly minor we deal with it and just get on with enjoying ourselves. Things often go wrong, but running to guest services for a complaint form is far from wonderful. We won't be sailing with P&O again. At least not till February. Will it be wonderful?, probably not. Will we enjoy our holiday?. ....you bet 🤣
  11. A couple go for the bad report=compensation tactic and folk jump on the band wagon. No proof just jump on board.
  12. It's quite telling Harry. Folk on here singing the praises of Saga. Have a look at the Saga thread. Nothing. Also the folk who don't cruise, saying " I won't be sailing with P&O again ". Some haven't since Oriana.😁
  13. There is a photo of the MDR queue in one of the stories. Some of the poor dears look like they hadn't eaten for a good 30 minutes.
  14. Rumour has it that when he brings her back to Southampton he will be forced to avoid the Isle of Wight.🚣
  15. Some folk seem to have holidays full of drama and complain forms. We must lead charmed lives. In all the cruises we have taken, issue have cropped up a few times. A trip to reception normally gets it sorted. Admittedly, nothing as serious as the great O'Neil macaroni crisis.
  16. Some folk take great delight in complaining and their eyes light up when they find something. We were in Menorca and were impressed with the life guard who eyes never left the people in the pool. His defribulator was out of its cover by his side the whole time. The tiles were mosaics and a chap was in the pool with some epoxy resin, sticking some tiles back on. He missed one, so some concerned punter went to reception to fill in a complaints form while the maintainence man was still there. Trip advisor review was followed by an email to head office. The gleam in his eye when he told the other guests that he always did this and normally got some compo.
  17. I will tell him, loudly. I'm an oap this macaroni crisis has ruined my retirement. Ps. Predictive left ruined alone this time.🤣
  18. We popped into O'Neil's lunchtime. No macaroni cheese. None. Not a single macaroni. I'm just trying to get the right email for the Times before I threaten to expose this scandal. A big voucher could be comming my way.
  19. Is this the same Times reporter who was on twitter asking for people's bad experiences so he could do a negative story ?. Sorry, I missed his tweet asking for unbiased stories from folk who enjoyed it.
  20. We pop back to the cabin after lunch. DW informs me she has a couple of soaps to stream on 5G.....I can go out on the balcony and have a look at the big mobile cranes moving the containers, or there is always some drying paint to keep an eye on.
  21. £30 is better than £40, but that is still £840 for 2 people on a two week cruise. Getting towards what we would spend ,but still a couple of hundred more.
  22. We leave the doors open all night, you can do that with an inside as well. I like to sit outside dressed how I please. You can do that with an inside cabin. When I start snoring DW sends me outside. She could do that with an inside.........second thoughts, no real advantage.an advantage of an inside is that on port days you don't get that incessant beep, beep beep, beep
  23. That's why Jean didn't hear any more about it.
  24. Not Coco, but mime artists apparently, nobody could understand the reason why.🤔
