  1. Thank you! I have a real lightweight one that is great for a day pack but not very sturdy. I will buy these.
  2. What was the name of the backpack? I’m looking to do this for our Sept cruise.
  3. We have My Time on 4 nights and Specialty on 3 nights. I guess I will save my wine tasting for the specialty dinners.
  4. You can pre-order the night before? I haven't read that anywhere. I guess it will show up on the app when I am onboard. Thank you for a very helpful tip!
  5. Interested to know how this works if ordering multiple drinks at dnner i.e. sparkling water, appetizer wine, main selection wine, dessert wine. Does the waiter just swipe the cards one time and then you order what you want? I plan on having a different wine tasting with each course.😆
  6. I hate coconut smell. Thank you for letting me know. I will pack my own things.
  7. Yes I became sick with an RSV coughing bug on a Med cruise in 2019. The whole ship had it. Only thing I could find at a RX on a little Greek island was honey lemon cough drops. Will never sail again without a full bag of meds.
  8. I didn’t think of couch medicine. I assume it’s the pill form?
  9. It's still not a bad idea for a couple (me) who would like two bathrooms. We could just get an adjoinging room and it would be like having a suite!
  10. You have separate cabins? Are they inside cabins? I’m liking this idea! Don’t tell my husband. 😆
  11. Great. Thank you both for this info. We are going on Voyager in September Barcelona to Rome and it did feel a little odd to eat at a sushi place. I think we will skip it.
  12. I've only cruised NCL so forgive me if this is a stupid question. I purchased a 3 night Specialty Dining package. When I purchased I was able to reserve some restauant for the 2nd night. Not certain what it is but I assume it's Chops. Can I just walk up to the other restaurants on the nights I want to eat there or do I need a reservation in advance? I have read about making reservations as soon as you get on board so maybe that is the same with the dining package too.
  13. That’s the opposite for me. My husband has a money clip and it doesn’t hold much. I am the money bags.
  14. I’m so sorry that happened to you. I became very sick on a Med cruise in Oct 2019 and realized how vulnerable you can be on a ship. How did the hospital take payment? On a credit card? Think of all the people that wouldn’t have money available on their card.
  15. Our room is right below the Solarium bar so that will probably be where we hang. Taking backpacks that day so we will be mobile!
  16. So sad to hear this. We cancelled our NCL Med cruise in September to book the Voyager instead. One thing I already knew I was going to miss was the food choices on NCL. Too late now. ☹️
  17. So happy for this question. I bought the 3 day package for Voyager and they only had the 2nd night reservation. It didn’t let me pick a restaurant. Do I assume it is at Chops?
  18. My first time on RC so I don't know these things. Thank you!
  19. If I purchase Chef's Table on the app how do I go about reserving this? Do I have to wait until I get onboard? Does Chef's Table have reservations every night of the cruise?
  20. Is the Solarium area bar and pool open? Our room is right below there so probably the best place to hang out and wait for our rooms.
  21. Do they have a bar open on embark days? We plan on eating a big breakfast but we are in a suite so will board early. I just want to go and hang out and have a drink in a quiet place until rooms our ready. Our Voyager cruise is in Sept.
  22. That's me! I am 5'9" but have the feet of a 6'5" man. I take alot of shoes because I would never be able to buy extra shoes anywhere. Unless it was at a Nike store.
  23. On my first cruise to Alaska in 2009 I packed way too much and my husband also complained. At the airport check-in I was over the 50 pound limit so had to open my bag and take stuff out and put in my husband's bag. Very embarrasing. Now I take a big roller and small roller. Plus I bought a digital luggage scale. Try not to go over 40 in the big roller.
  24. It was on the app. I just happened to look at it for some reason that day and Voila that Senior price was there. I realized the week before I made a $1000 payment for the cruise so it could have triggered something. Had also bought a 3 day dining package a week before. It was only there maybe 24 hours then gone.
  25. I was just offered one last week for a Med cruise in September. It was $53 per day. I nabbed it! You almost have to check every day. It was only there for a couple days. And it was called “senior savings”.
