I booked a cruise last week because I wanted to ensure we could get 3/4 passenger free even though none of the promos thrilled me. Now that they are offering UBP, I would love to switch to that. If I call, will I be allowed to choose the new promo or will I have to go through the process of canceling/rebooking. Our cruise is still showing as 3/4 sail free for July. I know there won't be any penalties, it would just be easier if they allowed the switch.
Hi. I just did this this morning with NCL. I was allowed to cancel and then reinstate the booking and was allowed to choose a different promo under the new June promo codes. The price of the cruise remained the same, but you would want to ensure that that was the case for yours. Just give them a call and they can walk you through the entire thing. It was fast and easy.

I can see my B6 balcony....woo hoo! Only 299 days to go...:)
-
Not sure when you booked.....
but how is this promo in June/July better than the promo's from February, March, and April?
Harriet
The shore excursion credit is $75 per port vs. $50 per port.

I just got off the phone with NCL and did this exact same thing on my March 2016 Escape sailing. I was able to get the exact same price, same stateroom but a much better promo credit.

I just called NCL and was able to cancel and reinstate my March 2016 booking on the Escape and was able to apply the new promo credit. Same price, same stateroom, better promo credit! Love it!:)

You must choose the “trellised” road less traveled by. Be sure to stop and “sit a spell.” And while you’re resting, look behind you……it’s is here that you will find Garry and Ranznor.

So, we sailed on Oasis last week (amazing ship, fantastic cruise...), and much to my delight, I stumbled across the Central Park Gnomes on the very last day of the cruise. Now, I had read on this very board that the Gnomes had been...um...retired to a janitorial closet. Clearly, they have been liberated.
They are not hidden, but are in plain sight. Happy Gnome hunting to anyone sailing on Oasis....:D

I too was wondering this since we are going on our vacation in 2 1/2 weeks.
Thx much.
Leaving Saturday....would love to know this as well!

The beach pool was the only area I ever saw fill up quickly. The pool deck is so large on Oasis, we never had a problem sitting exactly where we wanted no matter the time of day.
This is good news for me. I tend to like to be on the upper deck so that I can "take it all in." I've heard great things about Oasis and the availabiity of deck chairs. Let's see if that holds true....only 8 more days!

I love this....makes me want to dance. Only 10 more days until I can dance on the Oasis. And that makes me HAPPY!!!!!! :D:D:D

We really like the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. If you get a Tower Room, you will have a direct view of the ships. It's a great hotel, not too expensive, and ideally located.

We are sailing on the Oasis in two weeks, and we have two girls, ages 9 and 11. We've booked two staterooms...one Boardwalk Balcony and one Ocean View Balcony immediately across the hall. We wanted the option of both views, and we also wanted two showers, more storage, etc. I think this will work really well for our family.

My TA advised me just moments ago that while he was on the phone with RCCL this morning their system crashed. RCCL's IT department is working issue.
Ahhh, that would explain it. I was trying to add a drink package to my upcoming cruise, and the site couldn't pull up my reservation.

Yep....I was simply trying to add a beverage package to my reservation this morning. It kept kicking me out.

Excellent...thank you!

Can anyone tell me if the 9-11 year olds in Adventure Ocean have sign in/sign out priviledges (at the parent's discretion)? I can't find any information on this. Thanks.

I am indeed following! We sail on Oasis in 30 (or so) days, and I'm enthralled by your review. I loved the Boardwalk photos! We have stateroom 11729 booked, which is the very last (aft) stateroom overlooking the Boardwalk. I'm very excited about this. We also have a Central Park balcony room booked...it will be fun to see the contrast.
Thank you for all of your efforts documenting Oasis...incredible!

12 Boardwalk. We have deck 11, the very last stateroom (aft) overlooking the Boardwalk on our upcoming cruise.
I chose this stateroom simply because I wanted the experience of looking at the hustle and bustle of the Boardwalk while also being able to look out at the sea.
I know that this won't be the quietest of staterooms, but that's not why I chose it. I've had many, many "regular" balconies, and I am looking foward to a change of pace.

Megacruiser first of all I AM DEFINITELY FOLLOWING!
Am I to understand you don't have to get the wine pairing when you go to 150 Central Park?
What if you have purchased the premium drink package can you still have wine with your dinner and pay only the $40?
You have definitely piqued my interest now as I hadn't even considered it prior to your review!
I would be very interested in knowing this as well as my husband does not drink alcohol. I didn't even consider 150 as an option......

so great to see some of the crew actually being able to be on deck during the sailaway! I even saw some crew members taking pictures.. must be kinda neat for them :-)
(ps - she is having maintenance to one of the 3 azipods in Freeport... will be back next weekend)
I thought the exact same thing! Really fun to watch the crew...I especially liked seeing the chefs in their chef hats on the forward area of the ship!:D

I was JUST watching the Port Everglades webcam and wondered why she was moving. Thanks for the explanation!

I was wondering, does anyone on a Christmas Cruise dress up formally on Christmas night for dinner? I thought it would be fun to dress up for Christmas. I don't mind of people don't dress up. I was wondering if I dressed up, would I be the only one?
We were on the Carnival Breeze for Christmas last year, and many people were dressed formally. We certainly did, and we used the opportunity to take many family portraits. I say go for it!

FYI on Oasis now and all smooth with new packages. We opted for Rpyal Replenishment and paying wine and drinks separately and so far it's a good choice for us. I have heard NO complaints whatsoever from anyone thus far.
Can you please tell me if "premium coffee" means that lattes and cappcuinos are included? I'm strongly considering the Royal Replenishment for our upcoming Oasis cruise, but I would like more detailed information on the coffee options. Thanks!

This was the best review that I've ever read, and your pictures were incredible. Thank you so very much for taking the time to document your cruise. We sail on Oasis in March, and we could not be more excited. I'm sure that I will read your review many more times before we embark.

We sailed on the Oasis last spring, and we had the Royal Replenish package as well which included specialty coffees. It was worth its weight in gold! NCL...please do this!!!!
