Just received an email from Regent.....same stuff, use SBC's for tours, etc. pre-boarding.

This is just a meek attempt by "O" to offset the super negativism resultant from the major pull back in loyalty rewards to "O's" most loyal members announced six months ago!

There's NO WAY they can continue to justify not having "grandfathered" those loyal participants that reached appropriate levels over the course of time.They needed to do that cutback because they, "O", were choking on the "stupendous" benefits provided way back when that were provided by the senior members ot the organization. And, yes, that contingent of members remain in place now.

With "O" you don't always get whats on your invoice.

We had duplicative Virtuoso prepaid gratuities, always honored in the past with equal SBC's, but, on our most recent sailing, they were denied, and, despite numerous emails to HQ's, our only response was not substantiated with anything factual, but, a polite "you've received all credits due you".

My T.A. later found out that that type of duplication was only not applicable to cruises well after the date of our cruise. So, we were wrongfully denied $448 in SBC's!!! And, HQ's has heard from me since with no response!

So, now that 2019 bookings are BOOMING and require price increases next week on 67% of those 2019 sailings, "O" surely doesn't need the slashing of benefits under the Loyalty Program that was announced about six months ago.

Time for "O" HQ to make an astute business decision and at least "grandfather" those loyal "O" Club members!!

So, FDR, if things are so rosy with 2019 bookings to justify price increases next week for 67% of the 2019 sailings, it looks like there was no reason to SLASH the loyalty program benefits that was done about 5 months ago.

Probably similar to the 2019 schedule. It's been that regularly.

Sorry Jim, but, there are at least 2 CD's on "O" that do a complete litany, twice a day, reciting all that's in the daily program, most particularly on sea days, about 9AM and just after the Captain's update at Noon.

And, always a special announcement before Bingo.....not much different than Princess. And Cunard makes almost NONE!

Perhaps we can exchange them at Reception for a couple laundry tokens
