Having only sailed on the larger vessels in the Princess fleet. The next two sailings booked are on the Island Princess. Both these cruises were chosen based on itinerary and destination only. I am looking for some constructive feed back on the Island Princess from those members whom have already sailed on her. Some of the reviews are not to flattering recently but  as with all cruises, not everyone has the same experience.  2020 Top of the World Explorer. 2021 Mediterranean and Israel.

Are you doing the 11/22/21 cruise to Israel? We are on that one.

  2. Looking at a Cruise in 2021. Difference between regular mini suite and Club Class is $700 a person, usually don't care as we are with friends that we eat dinner with who don't do Club Class, but this one might be a Cruise without friends. On the Island. 14 days. On this class, we prefer the aft mini suites on the Dolphin deck which are covered. Any covered Club Class mini suites we should choose?

  3. This is what I'm being offered on our 14 day Rome to Barcelona on the Emerald in August. $99.99 for 1 device for 14 days. Interesting we are getting 2 credits as our 14 day is actually two 7 day segments. So I believe we will both get 150 minutes resetting after the first 7 days. Since this is a 10 port cruise with 2 sea days, I doubt we will use all our minutes.

I think I will wait until we board to see if the deals are better.

British Airways seems to be the main one who won't reserve seats ahead of time.  I'm sure there are others but that's the one I'm most familiar with as I regularly pay seat fees far in advance.

I'm flying Business class in August and I was able to choose my seats.

OP when I first read this I was like what? So glad I read thru the thread before responding......and glad things were rectified.

I suggest to anyone that uses EZ-air to not cancel and pay more for a flight, even if instructed my a Princess Rep.

OP I had the same situation as you on 2 occasions. One flight like yours dropped from availability on EZ-Air, it was a small 80 person jet, prime time, but still showed on Delta's site.

Have you decided to pay for your flight in full at this time, I would?

I rebooked on British Airways on what I think is a better itinerary. Instead of Barcelona to Atlanta, 5 hour layover, Atlanta to Pittsburgh. I'm now Barcelona to London, 3 hour layover, London to Pittsburgh. Flying Business. The lounges in Terminal 5 are a nice spot to spend the time. I would much rather have the longer flight second. While it cost my and extra $750.00, if I tried to book the same itinerary Pittsburgh to Rome. Barcelona to Pittsburgh on my own it would much higher than 5k I'm paying now.

Now I haven't been keeping a close eye on this stuff, but seems to me the majority of the time when a problem with flights do occur it does seem to be with a Delta Flight.  Now I know others out there will say au contraire, but just as a quick observation, it seems this way, to me.  I have done EZ air twice, and because of this observation, true or not, I have stayed away from booking a Delta flight even if cheaper.  I have dealt with United and Air Canada.  So far, and I am holding my breath, the only changes I have encountered is change in time (like 9:50a.m. to 9:56a.m. and 7:25p.m. to 7:20p.m.) and to my surprise, My Personalizer in Princess is keeping up with the changes in time!

But I am keeping a very close eye on both Princess site and individual airline sites to make sure everything is kosher.  In fact, for my cruise which starts the very end of August, I was able to pick out both flights' seats, even the overseas one!  Thought I would have to wait on the overseas one until paid, but not so.  So I am a happy camper.............  so far that is!  But brt49 has made me decide to keep as close an eye on my flights on the Princess site as on the airlines'.

    Pooh

Yeah, this was the first time I booked Air France ( code shared with Delta, didn't notice at the time) but I will make sure I don't book with them again.

The past several days when I tried to check my flight on EZ air a box pops up saying there has been an  itinerary change and to check back later or search for new flights. I wonder now if they are going to cancel them on me.Delta still shows the flight available with only a one minute time change so I don’t know what’s going on. Guess I will have to call them tomorrow.

Did you go to the Delta Website and use the confirmation code from EZ Air to check your reservation?

We have been using EZair for several years now both domestic and overseas flights.  Luckily we have not had a problem so far.  EZair does not pay for the flights until after the final payment is made and reservations without payment are subject to changes by the airline(s).  This is the first time I have read on CC about airline reservations disappearing so it appears as though it is not a common occurrence or at least I hope so.

I completely understand about flights subject to change. I think everyone of my itineraries has changed at some point. Usually just a flight time change.

The difference here is the flight hasn't changed and I can book it today on the Air France site, even pick the same seats.
