What we have done on our cruises is to approach the Maitre De on the first night and tell him we would like a "standing reservation" at a certain time. We usually pick 7:30. We always sit at the same table with the same wait staff. I think it is the best of both worlds.

We are booked on the Coral Princess for a 15 day LA to Fort Lauderdale Panama Canal cruise over Thanksgiving. Does anyone have any experience with the menu?

So my CVP called and had the finance department reverse the charge. So I just have to wait a day or two till the "Pending" charge disappears. She sent me a new invoice showing the correct balance.

And as was said in a previous post in this thread, it is actually a common occurrence. It's just much easier if you call as soon as you notice the mistake.

At this point you've done all you can. Princess will begin taking calls at 6:00am Pacific time. I would not wait for your CVP's call, but call and speak to whomever answers about your issue. It should be pretty easy to rectify.

Thank You... It's really not that big of a deal. Just not what I wanted..

So I have always been scared that I would accidentally hit the payment button without adjusting the amount I wanted to pay towards my cruise.

So instead of a small payment, I charged the full payment. This has put me over my limit and is not something I wanted to do in the first place. My CC company said there would be no extra fees just that I would use up all my available credit.

I called my CC company and they told me to call Princess. As the charge is still pending and it would be up to them to adjust the amount. Since they are closed, I called and left a message for my CVP who has always been responsive to any question or need that I have had in the past.

My question: Has this ever happened to anyone?

If so, was it easy for them to adjust the payment?

So I keep getting conflicting answers and different photographs.

Are the Aft Mini Suite Balconies (D705 - D725) on the Coral Princess Dolphin Deck covered, partially covered or not covered?

We currently have a standard balcony on Emerald deck directly underneath these cabins.

It turns out the price is only $28 more a day per person and I'm starting to think that it would be worth it (just for the extra space and bath tub)for the 15 day Panama Canal cruise we are booked on.

Any thoughts?

We were in E727 on the Island Princess on our Alaska cruise a couple of years ago. We loved it! It was only one deck above the Promenade deck with easy access to the stairs and elevators. The balcony was covered so we could still enjoy the scenery in the wet weather. Even the laundromat was just a few cabins down the hall - convenient access to that. If we ever cruise on the Island or Coral again, I would not hesitate to book that cabin again.

Great. I can't wait. This will be our longest cruise yet. We did the 12 Day British Isles Cruise this past September.

I noticed that the emerald deck aft cabins are the slowest to fill on our cruise as well. We are booked all the way aft, port side in E736. We booked it at launch. We did so because Tom, the creator of the original post and "map" showing the covered cabins on the Coral, stated that he thought that E736 and its starboard twin were some of the best cabins on the ship. The Emerald Deck aft balconies are completely covered and sheltered from the sun in the Panama Canal and the rain in Alaska and are just steps away from the aft open decks for panoramic views.

 

We are a little worried about thruster vibrations and noise from the lounge below, but not enough to change cabins. In fact, we have a "no upgrade" marked on our reservation.

So are you on this cruise? Did you join the Roll Call?

On the Coral? Or are you talking about the Island? The OP was asking about the Coral. :confused:

Exactly, I thought the Island was due for dry dock, as the Coral was refurbished in 2013, right?

We and another couple recently booked what were the last balcony cabins left on the 15 Day Panama Canal Cruise leaving out of LA in September 2015.

Are these cabins undesirable?

I mean the last available cabins were clustered in this area.

Any issues with these cabins? Vibration, Noise, Unusual Balcony/Room Set up?

It just always worries me when out of 700 balconies, our cabins were the last choice. Just wondering WHY people avoided them??
