  1. Been lucky find some the cheaper Cruises in multiples with good SOLO 340+ and at times Military Discounts. Without the Discounts I wouldn't be taking these Cruises. Retired Military, Single, Kids Grown, Car is paid for. Stay in an In law Suite at my Daughter/SIL/Grand Daughter home, so no real expenses...except Cruises
  2. Not on my Sailings. Average 10-25 Kids on my Radiance Class doing longer sailings
  3. Been carrying Pop onboard Royal Ships for 30+ yrs. same with Airlines. Last time took my Family out to eat there was 13 of us and the Restaurant had mandatory Tip of 15% for Large Groups, had pay min of $70. Lot of Restaurants do that for 10 or 12, etc. We might have small snack at Parks but we'd spend week at Disney/Universal Studios and never eat meals at their Rest.
  4. Was sitting in Centrum right after we set sail and was Purser standing there writing names on Clipboard everyone in line just to remove Gratuities. Seen this on multiple Ships now
  5. Not my Choice Ports that repeat but when Booked Feb-Mar 2025 B3B 10/10/9 niters on Jewel my SOLO Rates are not too bad compared to many others now coming out.
  6. I remember when 1st Show was 8:45pm and 2nd at 1100pm as both after Dinner. Second we'd get out show just in time for the Midnite Buffet. Last 5yrs about 1/3 my long 10-16nite Radiance Class Cruises multiple shows inc 1st and last were combined between 1st & 2nd Dining's along with at least 2 nites no shows.
  7. Shoot as Solo I've been in/out in 25-35 for about 10yrs. When with my Family about 45min is the norm. Now 20-35yrs ago we were Lucky if was under 2hrs and make the 1045pm second but that was when 5 course meal was the norm
  8. In the past few years seen at least 2 PC Sailings just popup on an off Week with no release announcement.
  9. I really am, even more so with the new up Charge on my usual Aft "Sunset" Balcony's and lack of any long Repo's
  10. You'd be Surprised. Different now then 5+ years ago, Millions work from home/computer, Millions more Kids are now Home schooled. Includes my Son, Daughter, Brother and Sister In law. See Families traveling all yr round not just Holidays and School Breaks. I've never seen so many Royal Cruise Ships Sold out. That said I also want longer 10 Cruises, except for last yr hadn't done any under 10+ nite Cruise in 23yrs
  11. Agree, I for one spent 2 months on Royal Cruises last yr, never spend $$$ onboard or their Excursions unless My Daughter and Grand Daughter are there with me.
  12. Can see it, have done 50+ Cruises out of and to/from Florida of 10-16 nites, top Speed 21-23 multiple days. Longer Sailings with few Families, mostly Solo and Couples, high cost Fuel not as much Profit compared to Larger Ships.
  13. Agree, typically Ships do Marine Side Dry Dock, onboard maintenance is normally done while Ship is in Service. I did Cruises on 2 Ships both couple weeks after Dry Dock and that's when all the Painting, Staining was done. One yr all the Mattresses are replaced, one deck a a time each week on turn around day. Saw same with Balcony Chairs, took 5 weeks to complete while Ship was in Service. Even getting the Serenade ready for it's World Cruise was on her last for for 4 weeks and thats when they did all the upgrades, not while in Dry Dock
  14. Started reading it w/o looking at Dates...until poster mentioned how good the Butter is on Legend of the Seas.
  15. Some years there is Long Caribbean and then Seasonal non-all yr round Long Caribbean sailings. Lot of times these are released separate or under othere dates. Can only hope a few more to come. Over last few yrs scored some good Repo's, Long Caribbean and Panama Canals on weeks nothing was to come out, but I'm always watching until everything is done
  16. Though rare it does happen, at least first hr or 2. Last March in Miami they actually were checking and separating groups/times. Did same on one my Cruises in Tampa in 2022, but that was due to 3 hr late arrival. I was on B3B already onboard and was quite the sight from my Balcony with some Groups out by the Road
  17. I was there Royal was using it's own Ship Tenders, was a Disney Ship and a smaller Princess Ship
  18. 3 Days was supposed go ashore in Cabo on Royal Ships in last yr, never got there as was too Windy for Tenders. Well actually 3 Tenders got to land one the days then nobody else
  19. Had a Personal Vacation Planner threw Royal for over 5yrs, was knowledgeable and could send him a text and change anything. Now post CV, nope. Either need do own footwork/call Royal with that knowledge or get a Travel Agent.
  20. People have done this before, was a couple CC Members that did this and bragged about it. During CV when they had the double FFC can almost see why
  21. Got that right! I'm use to about 4-5 Sea Days to 6 Port. Did a 16n Panama Canal last yr and due to Winds we had 6 Sea Days to start and did only 4 total stops, Perfect!...
  22. Agree, allowed 12 cans or bottles per cabin of water or soda pop. I always carry on 12ct of 16.9oz Diet Dew myself
  23. Agree, so far not a Single Ship or Date working out for me. At least I planned/Booked some alternate early Dates, instead on my usual Fall Sailings in 2025 was able get some ok pricing on B3B out of Galveston. At least these havn't jacked up the Corner/Afts to Sunset yet that would have cost about $2K more on future Radiance Class Sailings
  24. Ok... Sorry was a Joke. Single Father that raised 3 Kids, 4, 6, and 9 yr olds and they were actually really Good Kids. Never got in trouble, no Drinking/smoking/drugs. All Graduated 1 to 1 1/2 yrs early, with my oldest Home Schooled her HS yrs. Live with Her, my SIL and Grand Daughter who just turned 14 and is in her second year HS. Want say they got from me but even though I had all A/B's I took the GED and Join the US ARMY day after I turned 16. In end was right decision for me, stayed in making it a Career and Completed College by time I was 20.
  25. My Kids would ask same question until they got answer they liked
