  1. First, I also live in Westerville-- small world! Getting back to CMH is a nightmare. Both of our past two trips have had cancellations on the last leg into CMH. The first was San Diego-Houston-Columbus, and the second Stockholm-JFK-Columbus. We also booked our own flights which made a big difference. The airlines automatically rebooked us-- not great flights, but not as bad as they could have been. American Airlines at JFK couldn't/wouldn't rebook people who had flights through cruise lines. Those people had to sit on hold for hours while the available alternatives plane seats were getting filled. (I have no idea which cruise lines.) Like you, we want to be able to plan and, if necessary, change our flights ourselves.
  2. I've tried searching this site and googled, but I can't find much information about Club Balcony Suites on Sun. When I look at the deck plan, the cabins don't look like the typical rectangles, instead they look like jigsaw pieces. ( https://www.ncl.com/cruise-ship/sun/deck-plans ) We're planning on a December cruise which is a little last minute for us, so I'm trying to get my ducks in a row. There are still a handful of cabins available, but I don't know if the ones with the bump-out nearer the door are better or worse? If it helps, the available cabins are 1005, 1006, 1007, 1008, 1010, 1011, and 1012. Thank you!
  3. Amen! Some other boards keep a spreadsheet so you can search, but I couldn't find one here.
  4. We were on a similar cruise this fall and had a good amount of OBC, so we took HAL tours at all three ports. Cabo and Mazatlán we did the standard bus and walking tours with a little shopping. They were both pretty dull! We did like Best Of Puerto Vallarta: Cathedral, Fiesta, Tequila Factory & Buffet. IMO, the tequila factory had good tequila in a variety of flavors and we liked the buffet food.
  5. I can definitely imagine how I would have felt if I had tested positive at the end of the cruise! I was a nervous wreck that would happen. I'm sure that the only reason that it didn't happen was my recent infection. I'm still working, so taking an extra week of vacation would not have been good. Luckily, my job wouldn't have been in jeopardy, but my team wouldn't have been thrilled. Based on the trays in the corridors and the luggage wrapped in plastic at the dock when we left the ship, I suspect that the handful of medical cabins were already full. I completely agree that separating us would have been the safest choice. Silver lining-- Azamara is giving us FCC for the days we quarantined.
  6. My husband had Covid during the June 7th Lisbon to Stockholm cruise. He thought he was getting a sinus infection and took a test that we brought with us. The home test was negative. When he went to medical, he tested positive. Ugh! I tested negative, probably because I had Covid about a month prior. We were quarantined to our room for days 5-10. We were both retested the last day of the cruise and were both negative. We had an accessible club continent cabin. (It was assigned to us as a guarantee.) We definitely appreciated the extra space, especially because my husband felt like he had a bad cold for most of the quarantine. No one was allowed in our cabin the entire time. I have to stay that Azamara took good care of us. We had room service brought 3 times a day. Unlike some cruise lines, we had proper dishes and silverware. They even gave us a tablecloth for dinner. Medical came twice a day to check both of our vitals-- temp, pulse, and oxygen level. Our cabin steward regularly brought new towels. Guest relations called daily and had mochaccinos sent to me. We were also given free internet. There's no getting around it, the experience was not fun! We missed some great ports, white night, the captain's table dinner, etc. My husband is feeling much better, so it could have been much worse.
  7. My husband had Covid during the June 7th Lisbon to Stockholm cruise. He was given a decongestant and some nose drops. There wasn't any discussion of other medical options.
  8. The "licking everything" was definitely the funniest thing I've seen today. 😂 Looking forward to your reports. We're on the next cruise out of Lisbon. It will be our first Azamara, so I'm sure I'll learn some tips from you.
  9. Sure! We're going on a the 10-Night Northern Cities cruise out of Lisbon. We are booked in a Club Continent Suite guarantee. They offered: Club World Owner's Suite from $2000 pp Club Ocean Suite from $1700 pp Club Spa Suite from $1300 pp I just checked the emails and the upgrade offers were the same for both. The starting bids are a pretty solid discount from the website prices. After having our flights cancelled we had to book new ones at much higher price, and decided not to bid.
  10. Late answering, but we have a guarantee and were offered an upgrade. We didn't bid, but we received a couple emails offering it.
  11. We're on the June 4th cruise too and we don't have our documents yet either.
