  1. We’ve had to wait anywhere from ten minutes to an hour.  One night after waiting for 20 minutes without moving, we left and ordered room service.
On another ship, on the first night we were asked if we were happy with our table and server, and when we said yes, we were told to seat ourselves every night after that at that table and time.  Hence, no waiting, and trust me, the lines were long!
I’m  mystified as to why Royal doesn’t know what they are doing on some ships, and on others, they are perfect!

    How can this be checked?

This actually happened to us.  We don’t know how long the battery was dead.  It was just a fluke that we tried the door handle without using our card (forgot we weren’t home), and the door easily opened.  We opened and closed the door, and then tried it a few more times, and it just opened, with no lock engaged.  When we called maintenance, they said they would repair it within an hour.  We were on our way to dinner and didn’t want to leave the cabin unlocked.  This surprised the maintenance department, but they came immediately to change the battery.

  3. A couple of years ago, we booked the holiday dinner in Chops for Christmas Eve.  There was nothing special about the menu, and there were maybe 10 other passengers besides ourselves.  There were a few larger tables of staff.  We felt totally ripped off.  I think the only thing extra, was one glass of champagne each.  The menu they posted online when we booked, was not the menu presented to us that night.  Never again!

We live in Canada and lately my Amazon orders have been unreliable-- things I have purchased with one day shipping on Prime Day still have yet to arrive. I have a laminator and film so figured if it's allowed I'd just laminate them.

My travel agent gave me plastic holders for them.

  5. You can easily walk to the Jewish area, the museum area is a bit farther.  Be aware, that you need to purchase tickets online in advance for the Anne Frank house and the Rijksmuseum.  “Euros” are the currency of the Netherlands.  Cash or debit card are king, credit cards are widely accepted at larger establishments.  Cash is not accepted on the trams.
