    Hi Marsha;

    Thanks for this info.  I went on the Air Canada site and will definitely order the Switch Health Test Kit.  We are leaving on Jan. 16 (cruise out of L.A.) and then fly into Vegas for 4 nights.

    The price of $149 CDN. is a considerable savings compared to an approx. $300 U.S.D. if we had to have it done while in the States.

    Thanks, again.

    Cheers,

    Frances (NWT Cruiser)

    That’s interesting. I wonder if you were looking at the Amazon.ca site and not the Amazon.com site. Dot com shows it as in stock.

    I have used the Amazon PCR Test Kit a few times to enter Canada. They don’t ship to Canada but if you have them sent to your hotel you can take the test there. You will need to call the hotel directly to give them a heads up so they are expecting it. I do not know the requirements for children entering Canada so just wanted to mention this test is only for 18+.

    They are out of stock right  now.  I was hoping to have all of my ducks in a row before we left home!

    There have been lots of posts from Canadians who had no difficulty getting their tests with no need to prove US residency. You might want to continue looking into it.

    I have looked online at the major drug stores and even made some appointments.  In the end, they all want state i.d., as ah5 is how they get paid.  Free tests are necessarily so!

    I  am planning a cruise out of Miami and with the two-day window for testing I may schedule at a CVS near my hotel OR just use the testing available at the airport upon arrival.  When I checked the airport's website, there were two testing locations.

    My cruise isn't for several months, so I haven't nailed everything down yet as requirements can change by then.

    See if the airport testing at the Miami airport will work for you.

    Enjoy your cruise.

    i contacted the company offering the airport testing.  they told me the tests are for passengers departing the airport, and not just arriving for a cruise.  Ive made other arrangements.

  6. We booked the holiday dinner in chops for christmas.  It was a waste of money, as it was the same as the regular menu except that we each got one glass of french champagne.  There were 2 other tables of diners when we were there, and one of them were crew.  I thought it was a big rip off!

    As I said the card may open the door, but that does not mean you are supposed to be in there if you are NOT D and up. The DL concierge may not saying anything either.

    Biker, who is surprised "the DL is already crowded" folks have not chimed in.

     We were on the Adventure this past winter for 9 weeks.  The diamond lounge was a zoo.  And yes, according to the concierges, suites were allowed in there.  The suite lounge on the other hand was busy, but nowhere near the crowd in the diamond lounge.  We wondered why suite people would opt for the crowded lunge ver the relatively quiet suite lounge.
