We aren’t cruising for another 2 weeks, and are going to use it. The days of free testing in the USA may be over, since the US government started giving out free ones for home use. I found a lab that charges $225 US, and gives results with 2 hours max, and will use it as a back up if needed. I’ll be happy to share my experience when i return.

The Device Identifier for the FDA authorization is 9901-NCOV-10G.
The Health Canada authorizations are for these devices:
9901-NCOV-06G
9901-NCOV-04G
9901-NCOV-03G
09COV37H
09COV36D
9901-C-NCOV-01G
9901-NCOV-01G
C-NCOV-01G
Q-NCOV-01G
As you can see, different devices.
How many ways are there to test for Covid? I've no idea.
I don't mean to be a pest, but do you have any idea why the FDA wouldn't approve the rapid antigen from switch health? Just curious.

Are the employees patient to do multiple people? There's 4 of us and I'm feeling guilty we're going to hold up the line so long through the drive through.
They will not do extra people if appointments are required. They will have the paperwork for only the person holding the appointment.

The single SD Biosensor device given emergency use authorization by the FDA is not one of the devices used by Switch Health. SD Biosensor has nine devices authorized for emergency use by Health Canada, but those nine do not include the device authorized by the FDA.
so, now I'm curious. what has been authorized for them? How many ways are there to test for Covid?

The manufactures of the switch health rapid antigen test have received FDA approval for emergency use. The letter of approval is on the FDA website.

I thinks its a promotion, as my husban and i both got them. And we know, that we do not have any FCC’s.

Testing is being done at the fort lauderdale airport.

The only observation that I can make is that the page from which you are quoting was modified as of March 1, 2022…..and the page from which I’m quoting was modified as of March 7, 2022. I suppose printing the page and taking it with you would be useful if one tests positive. They certainly are contradictory. I noticed that nearly every page, that I looked at, of the same website has a different modification date. Like we need more confusion?? 😳
the page is again updated today, March 8, 2022

So you are saying that you would have to stay on board for another 14 days?
i don't know what the cruise lines would do. i do know, that if a Canadian resident tests positive, they cannot enter canada until day 11, after the test.

I tried to search but I couldn't find any answer related to the recent change on Feb 28th.
Now that Canadians can do a rapid antigen test to fly back to Canada, does anyone know if this test is being offered inside the terminal and for how much? Do you have to pre-book an appointment?
which port? which ship?

I think if you are Canadian you would be allowed off but quarantined at home. That seems the only way. They cannot stop you from returning to Canada by law.
you would be subject to a big fine by Health Canada.

I’ve never paid a fuel surcharge

I made appointments at CVS in Florida for the date i wanted, as soon as they became available, 14 days in advance. Please be aware, they were booked up almost immediately. No problem getting the tests done, and we had the results emailed to us within one hour. I printed out the results, to make boarding easier. No problems at all.
-
There are no appointments being scheduled in the USA right now due to COVID. I expect they will extend the expiry date again.
-
I don't recall transfers being included with the airfare. I think you can purchase them separately, depending on the port.

I’m on the Jewel, and the captain just made the announcement, that the ship will be shut down until sometime in February. I missed the actual date.

We easily got bottled water from the Suite lounge on Ovation back in August. I realize Ovation isn’t currently doing any sailings now.
We also asked for bottled water on Oasis in October and they generously gave us 2 each without asking for extra.
they have switched from bottled water to canned water. -
CVS is another drug store option

CVS also has drive thru testing. Their appointments become available, at midnight, exactly 14 days prior.
