  1. Hi,Just got a good deal on a interior promenade cabin on Adventure of Seas May3 sailing-12 nights, Caribbean ports.  It is a repositoning cruise tho.  I paid $1373.55 for all port and taxes with a $83.00 obc.  Used travel agent that has cruise and more in it's title.  Other good rates for singles on other interior cabins.  Don't know about other catergories.  If interested, look into  this soon, cabins are getting lesser being available.

  2. Just wanted to say I have removed tips in the past when cabin, dining service was extremely poor.  And usually this is after I have told the guest services desk, and nothing is improved.  Tips should be given for ok,or good service!

Not only does BB cover soda and juices, but it covers lots of mocktail concoctions. BUT it does not cover bottled water, speciality coffees, frozen drinks, energy drinks, vitamin water, non-alcoholic beer, glasses of sparkling grape juice or cider, or coconut water.

Most bartenders will know how to make a Shirley Temple or Roy Rodger, but there is no "official" mocktail menu. If you can walk a bartender through and they have the ingredients to make the soft drink mixture without using a blender they will do so.

    Some of my favorites are:

Virgin Sunrise = orange, pineapple, and grapefruit juices mixed with sprite and splash of grenadine.

Afterglow = orange and pineapple juice with a heavy dose of grenadine syrup

Virgin Mimosa = orange juice and ginger ale or sprite

Cranberry Kiss = club soda or seltzer with cranberry juice, ginger ale or sprite may also be used

Cinderella = ginger ale w/ orange and pineapple juices and fresh squeezed lemon, simple syrup or agave syrup may also be added

Other mocktails I've seen others order:

Virgin Mary = tomato & lemon juice accented with Worcestershire & Tabasco sauce

Pineapple Mule = (non-alcoholic) ginger beer, pineapple juice and a squeeze of lime and mint leaves

Mango Mule = (non-alcoholic) ginger beer, mango juice/flavoring, lime juice, and simple syrup
Virgin Paloma = sprite (heavily stirred or shaken), grapefruit juice, and simple or agave syrup

Virgin Gimlet = club soda or sprite, lime juice, and simple syrup

Whiskey-free Sour = club soda or sprite, pineapple juice, and sour mix

Spiced Coke = equal parts of coke and Dr.Pepper or Mr. Pibbs, strained through ice, with a splash of pineapple juice

Basically any combination of available  juices &/or sodas (think along the lines of a the freestyle machines but made by hand) with modest additions of bar syrups or sauces should be covered as long as the blender or shaved ice (or ice cream) is not needed to make them.

Thanks so much for this list,I am going on Carnival Legend in late September, and thinking about getting bottomless bubbles, even tho the unlimited soda and more(including mocktails) on Princess is a much better deal!  Kendra

  4. Hi,  Dining tips-ask for traditional fixed early or late sitting,a large table with other singles.  Go to the activities that sound interesting to do.  Talk to a lot of people. In the buffet,it is perfectly ok to ask at a table-Can I join you at this table?  Eat,drink, and be merry and have a fun time!  Kendra

  5. Hi- I went to Puerta Vallarta on this past Easter Sunday.  You can get a very nice $25.00 massage at Lotus Spa,on one of the main streets.  Also if you like Kahua, you can get 1 liter bottles of Kahlua for $9.00 each at Wal-Mart across from the piers.  Hope this info. helps!  Kendra

  6. Hi,  The cost for unlimited soda and more(including mocktails) is $8.26 including tips, per day.  Note you can can other mocktails too-ask if they will make chocobanana one-yummy.  Also you can ask for virgin pina coladas, bloody marys, etc.

  7. Hi, I have been on 3 RCCL cruises. I enjoyed them, but Holland America Line is still my favorite cruise line. I will be going on my 9th HAL cruise in November. I usually get an inside cabin. I have even had inside cabins with a loveseat and coffee table. Bathrooms are larger than RCCL. Showers definitely larger, and sink area too. Food I think is better than RCCL's. Burgers at Dive-In Grill are great! You get to order the doneness of the burger when you order. Fries there too great! Also if you and your family like hot dogs-they have Nathan's hot dogs there too. Decent pizza at the pizza place. Good food at the lido buffet and the main dining room. Note dinner entrees are small,I just order 2 of them. Oh-free actual ice cream at the buffet in the afternoons. Made to order omelets and waffles at lido breaklfast. Nice afternoon teas. Lots of flowers around the ship. Cloth towels in the public bathrooms. I can't tell you about kid's programs. Generally an older crowd on the ships usually. Usually not a lot of children on the ship. Nightlife,ok production shows, nice piano bar,and a disco. Some ships have music walk-live band lounge, duelling piano players, and classical music. Usually trivia 2 times a day. Generally a classy,low-key cruise. If you have any other questions, let me know,Kendra P.S. HAL has a soda card for $25.00-good for $50.00 of fountain sodas.

  8. Hi all, Thanks for all the responses. I now think it is Grandeur that is up for sale. Year built, and length of ship is about right. Note Brilliance was built in 2002 and is about 962 feet long, and the Enchantment of the Seas was built in 1995 and her length-989 feet( she was extended a while back). Especially the length rules out these two ships. Any other suggestions, let me know, but I am sad to learn the Grandeur of the Seas is probably up for sale. Kendra

  9. Looks like Rhapsody is for sale. Yachtworld dot com has another (looks like RCCL) ship for sale,1996,but 900 feet long. Anyone have any idea which RCCL ship this might be? Hope it is not the Grandeur,I was on the ship in March, and really liked the ship. Thanks for any answers. Kendra

  10. Every night trivia in lounge near South Pacific, great 5 different comics, 3 bands all very good, 50 and 70 party in centrum, Zumba, line dancing, lots to do. Good shows.

Great crew and food, lobster tails one of last nights. Good roast beef sandwiches in park cafe with lays potatoe chips.

2016 were on new Anthem great ship food and service stunk, but loved the ship. Grandeur was excellent great food and service, very nice fellow passengers, we will go on the Grandeur again. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did, many loyal repeat cruisers love this ship!

    Thanks for the information! Kendra

  11. Hi, A few questions. Did you have just 2 formal nights? What nights? Did you ever have lobster in the main dining room? And how was the food in the dining room? Was the weather cool the first sea day? What production shows did they have in the theater? What kind of entertainers did you see in the theater other than production shows? Was there a lot of trivia? If so,where did they have it? Thanks for answering these questions. I will be going on the March 6th Grandeur sailing. Kendra

  12. Hi,Just a few notes. For your information,RCCL bathrooms are very small. Showers are very small. Beds on most RCCL ships are hard as rock-ask for a mattress topper from your cabin steward the time you see him/her. Sometimes the captain's reception serves free champagne. Dinners, food portions small but can ask for more than one entree. Use Park Cafe or Cafe Promenade as an alternative to buffet, especially for lunch(and on the first day). If they have a 70's party or Brit. party,go to these they are fun! I travel solo,I like RCCL much more than NCL. Note-not as many speciality resaturants on RCCL than NCL. Hope these comments help. Kendra
