Hi, I am female,in my mid-60's. I cruised on the Coral Princess,back to back cruise last July to Alaska. My second cruise on Princess,got a good rate for an inside quarantee. Ended up with an obstructed view outside cabin. Met some cruise critic people aboard the ship,even rented a car for one day to Anchorage with some of them. I had a very nice time,and the glaciers were great! Met a few other singles on this cruise too. So yes singles do cruise to Alaska!

Thanks to all for your kind words of congradulations on my Alaska cruise. For your info. this July back to back sailing is from Vancouver,Canada. Got a decent airline price thru WestJet Airline. Anyone out there ever flown on this airline?

Hi, I just booked today a 14night back to back Alaskan cruise on the Coral Princess,for July 23,2012.. Even tho I am paying a large single supplement,the $1287.00(including all port fees and taxes) for 14 nights for my own inside guarantee cabin,I thought this was a pretty good deal. I booked with the cruise website that has compete in it. Maybe some other singles or solos would think this was a good deal too. This is a private sale thru Princess for past passengers for a couple of Alaskan sailings.

Just this week booked an inside cabin for myself on MSC Poesia-Ot. 8thfor 14 night Canada/New England cruise round trip from New York City. Including all taxes- $1413.72. Am taking on chance on MSC,lot of bad reviews out there,but the price and itinerary was too good to pass up!

My first cruise was on HAL's old Rotterdam on Sept.28,1981. 11 days-Carribean islands and Bermuda. I chose this ship because at the time it also did a world cruise. Beautiful ship. Went with Singleworld(no longer around)-Got matched up with a roommate,and ate with other singles. Always remembered I would go to the evening production show,then to the disco(which closed at 1 AM),THEN usually went to the nightclub where a live band would play until 2-3AM! I had much more stamina back then! Such great memories of that first cruise. Only been on 6 other HAL cruises since then,althought HAL is still my favorite cruiseline. Looking forward to my next HAL cruise-Panama Canal on the Statendam this Sept. 30th. This is a great thread! Kendra
