I believe the Port of Miami has a much better chance of survival than the cruise lines.

Has anyone made payments on the RCI website?  I wanted to make a payment, but the only option that I found on the site is to pay the complete balance.  Besides calling, is there another way?  Also, can I prepay the gratuities while I am at it?   This is my first RCI cruise.  I have gone the Carnival route several times before and their website is so much more user friendly.  Thanks is advance.

Look, I get it.  Do I think our 14 day November cruise is going? Heck no.  But I'll be darned if I'll stop dreaming after 3 straight days of cold rain up here in Wisconsin.  Sail on.

New info... John Heald said today that the Magic is returning crew to ships. 

What was funny ? The theme of the post or the response that I referred to ?

Ah, I thought they meant "Magic is having their crew return to the ship".
 
Not that it makes a whole lot of difference to my overall level of confusion and confoundedness.

IMO--- ( to cover my butt ) the tone of your response is not in keeping with the effort the OP put into opening up a new topic.
Again, IMO , I think we've  " overstayed " the same old same old topics that have been hashed around for the past few months. 
Maybe someone that's interested will post " Who Will Be On Board When Cruising Starts Up " ??? 
 

The observable data from Carnival is bewildering.
 
Right now you can see bookings only for Port Canaveral and Miami for November, on the expected ships.  Magic is not one of them.  (Where was Magic supposed to be?  I've lost the bubble on that.)
 
EDIT: I see based on other websites it was supposed to cruise from Miami in Nov and Dec and maybe beyond).
 
So if JH says that the crew for Magic is returning...where are they going to sail from?
 
Or is the website glitch in "opposite day" mode: all the other ports and ships are locked down while they reconfigure for actual plans to sail in November, and Port Canaveral and Miami remain in place for now because they are just going to nuke them entirely from the schedule?

It looks like November bookings are gone from the Carnival website, so I imagine November sailings are going to be canceled.  They are slowly working their way to December cancellations.  So sad as I have a sailing scheduled on the Dream on December 12.  Oh well, more OBC, I guess [emoji25].

Had a hint from a celebrity rep today that they're anticipating an announcement on November cruises tomorrow

We are booked on Freedom on Nov 22nd, we are 75 days out and I made final payment 3 weeks ago.  As of now I have finalized all of the check in but I have not been given a time for boarding or tickets.  I believe this happens at about 60 days out.
 
Currently Freedom is off the coast of Barbados and I just can't see San Juan Puerto Rico port opening.

 
There will be more cancellations before cruising resumes.   Cruising won’t resume in November 

I see the Allure is in England. Any idea when it would chug west to the US should no further delays in cruising happens?

My earliest check in option was 2:30.   
 
I don't see any lunch plans on embarkation day happening.  [emoji50]  If the cruise actually goes at all that is...which is doubtful IMHO.   But who knows...certainly not me...even 6 months ago I wouldn't have thought the rest of the year of cruising would have been toast.  

 Thanks!  That is the same time I had available - hoped The Key would be better [emoji6]   The ships are def planning to leave late, if we go - the port arrival time options were late! I am happy to see these changes, though - it means their planning and prepping - and will have ample time to clean the ship 🤞

Question for those hopeful out there 🥰 - The check-in is somewhat different, with later (much later) port arrival times - To anyone who has The Key who has checked in for a late 2020 cruise - what port arrival times were available to you. I think that may be a 'changed' perk for The Key??!! 

Our check in time is 2:30. No difference with key purchase. If we sail (November) I presume we will be notified when we can board.
