Anyone that is taken in by the Free Champagne enticement ( which is actually Sparkiling Wine ) is also likely to be taken in by the sales pitch when they buy a unique and rare masterpiece. :eek:

Luckily I was able to report this as being active on board ships, 3 weeks ago. Having previously posted that the original trial was going to be re-introduced, unfortunately I was shot down by many who said I was wrong :mad:

 

So is this just more misinformation or have they gone back to adding an on-board discount for drink packages for C&A members?

Margaretaville was originally going to Royal, but a Senior Executive in the F&B dept then left Royal and went to NCL, and the contract went with him. As did a couple of other good ideas. :D

They are nice, but they are NOT the same sheets as used on the ships. :eek:

Has anyone bought these sheets? Are they as nice as the ones on the ships?:confused:

Regarding the drinks package question, the Diamond members discount was reintroduced this week on The Jewel, with D members getting a 30% discount on the new Deluxe package.

Hello fellow recent cruisers..

 

Is it true...no more diamond lounge for diamonds??? Instead drinks loaded on one's sea pass card?? What is the logistics of that??? Any bar?? any time??? and what if you purchased the drink package????

The flyer being distributed only specifies changes, with no comment about cancellation.

Can you cancel before final payment date for a refund of deposit?

Good question, the flyer sent to state rooms does not clarify this.

Can you change ship and date as many times as you wish or is that limited to once as it is with the price drops.

 

If it is unlimited then that is a workaround on price drops. If you've already used your one price drop you could just change cruises and then change vpbackback again getting the lower price.

Good to see the new rules being applied to Future Cruise bookings made on board for UK Guests.

The 2 main points are:

New Flexibility, change your reservations to suit needs ( Ship or date ) prior to final payment without any change fees.

New Price guarantee , grab a lower price if avaialable prior to final payment ( one time only)

This is good news for UK guests :D

This sailing being the one from Rome starting 12 Sept, I think the 20% you refer to is for drink packages purchased in advance, these discounts are available on board, against the regular prices.

We’ll be grandfathering in our guests that have already purchased the Select Package, or that have the package included in their cruise. Please review the points below:

- Guests with the Premium and Ultimate Packages will be automatically upgraded to the new Deluxe Package at no extra cost

Cuddy has been around for many years, chasing the CD role. I am glad he is getting a chance now. Like many others he is more suited to some audiences than others but as long as he adopts his own style opposed to copying others he should do well. Good luck with the diet, however I would be more concerned about the amount of Oil or Spray used if the amount of calories really made that much difference. I would not want to eat any eggs that were swimming in a concerning amount of oil. I would ask them to wipe the pan out before adding eggs to ensure only the smallest amount is used.

It is one of the best Bars on the ship, we drank there every night before moving on for dinner in other locations. :D

.................... but want to HURT those who choose to book a balcony cabin within 6 months. If you are only looking at what is good and nice for you, how unfair.

It would increase revenue by enabling Diamond or above cruises to reconsider the value of a drink package. As it stands anyone that enjoys the 3 drink vouchers or early evening lounge access are basically giving that away that benefit by the purchasing of a Drink Package, and therefore they are more unlikely to buy one.

Some of us do like to enjoy a drink poolside during the day, and wine with our dinner and a late night tipple as we relax after dinner. ( YES in addition to our pre-dinner cocktail ) therefore a reduced package price would make it viable, whereas at current rates it is not.

It would also encourage more people to rise up though the loyalty ladder, because of the additional benefit. :eek:

I'm not sure how giving discounted drink packages to anyone would increase revenue. Those who don't drink still aren't going to get it. Those who drink 2-3 drinks in a day maybe, but those are more likely to just use their freebie's in the evening anyway.

This is absolutely ridiculous. If RCCL intend to not change something I think everyone likely to be affected should at least informed to give them time to prepare.
