Check Trip advisor in the Amsterdam forum ..some recent bids listed there

some people got the Movenpick a 4* in Zone 2 (next to the cruise ship dock)

We got Movenpick 98$

What is the easy way to get from the Movenpick hotel to the pier that Holland America uses with 6 bags ??

Dollar stores have them 2 for 1$

Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) has a 10 day trip to Peru that includes 6 days on the Amazon River. The ship accommodates on 24 passengers. I did this trip 2 years ago and other than the heat and humidity is was great.

Only 24 people on the ship ???

I hope they fix it for the crew sack ...

I feel bad for the Splendor. It is going to take a beating from the NY whining and grumbling crowd. Nothing worse than being on a cruise full of NYers, they trash the ship, get obnoxious and drunk(out of control drunk), and are never happy. The Poor poor Splendor, will need to be drydocked after NY.;)

I don't no how many kids will be on a Holland cruise that long ?? we were on a 27 day South America Holland Cruise In Oct,2012 and there was 5 kids on the ship ..

We are checking into Allianz for our French River cruise next year since the Vantage quoted price is over $800 per person! The only advantage I can see is that it does include "for any reason" which would be helpful if there was heavy flooding or an intense heat wave in Europe at that time...

That is a good thing , IF is it true ..?????

trip insurance with Allianz both 60 years old 8000$ X 6.5 % = 520$ and no hold backs .. Am I wrong ???

When you say "better" ---what do you mean? More coverage for the $$? What company do you use?

 

We've had to cancel and reschedule 2 trips with Vantage (TripMate insurance) with no problem (had to lose the cost of the trip insurance one of the times) and had to use the insurance again when my husband got sick in Africa (insurance paid for 3 days of "lost" trip and reimbursed us for cost of hotel room for 3 days)
