Debbie my wife & I have been on three GCT cruises & 3 Vantage & on 10-23-11 we are doing the Eastern Europe cruise from Bucharest to Budapest with 5 days pre cruise to Transavania & 4 day post cruise in Budapest. We have found Vantage to be higher than GCT but they give you more included tours. We have also been on the Mississippi River cruise. We have been on 83 cruises.
Hi could you give us some tricks on Vantage,
-
I would say anywhere between 50 and 80. Average might be in their late 60s to early 70s. We have never had a problem waiting for someone on tours.
But i would say thay all must be fitt

super elite
hi all
while on the ruby i heard folks chatting about this, while i agree there needs to be something we need to think about this for a minute, the reason there are so many elites is that we are all cruising more, so every day more elites.
so we have super elites, in a few years do we then have this debate again and then super super elites, then there is the issue of what perks to give.
so heres a thought for you all,
a new top level of captains circle , call it what you want but lets use an old name the commodore club.
how to get in, you must be in the top 50 most travelled on a cruise of 10 days or more.
you get a new colour of card.
so what perks ,
well club lunch or cocktail party as captains time dictates
a second party, say hosted by circle host but have ships dancers to dance with members no free drinks but allow members to bring a guest, again may be a formal event, timed to last a full evening ,may be split over two nights to allow early and late diners to attend
breakfast at sabainti for the top 50 onboard only, now some will be in suites, some will be travelling with family and friends and will not want to leave them.
a club lunch open to all but restricted by number to be held either in port or onboard a ship while in port, say a couple in the us and in europe per year with ceo or similar to attend etc black tie event allow princess to make announcements to this group first.
then some vouchers, $5 of a bottle of wine, a free meal in the crown or similar, a one day pass to the sanctuary , $50 voucher of a future cruise, $10 off a shorex trip.
any other ideas folks
yours shogun

It could be the soap
-
I don't know where you got the information about Princess polluting the seas, because it doesn't. Saying it does is giving misleading information that isn't correct. It adheres to very strict environmental standards.
There are several factors here that you haven't mentioned (or are unaware of): One is that some regions have stricter standards than others to protect the environment; another is that the ship's laundry doesn't use soap plus the water is treated before being released. In the self-serve laundries, people use any kind of soap, including high-sudsing, that is harder to treat than the ship's laundry. Thus, it's closed in the regions with the stricter standards.
The upshot? Send your laundry out or find a laundramat in port. Problem solved. Don't blame the ship because that's not the source of your problem. It's that soap is allowed in the self-serve laundry and passengers often use the wrong type of soap.
And mix two soaps together
