It can definitely happen. Im there now....I could run the NCL games and half the shows ar this point. Love NcL, but probably time to try RCCL...

Last time i had three orders of bruschetta sans anchovies :-D

All cruise lines copy the good stuff from all cruise lines. You think NCL invented the ropes course? And the outdoor movie screen?
Also, all cruises are what you make them. Freestyle is a state of mind. Except for dining theres nothing else you couldnt make freestyle if you wanted to.

Gotta say....it looks like an upgrade to NCLs system. Id like to see something similar on the new NCL ships. More free spaces/bigger set menus as opposed to 2-3 spaces with small rotating menus.

We went out of boston last week of october....sure the first and last day were chilly, but i had never experienced calmer seas in 7 cruises.
-
Like others i swore off carnival after one cruise. It seemed that the majority of the parents let their kids explore when they got on thr ship and then saw them again for the first time seven days later.....totally unbearable.
That said, they are offering cruises and waiving the single supplement right now, which is huge for us solo cruisers.

Hey SportsCouple. I have tried to email you twice now, but both emails came back as undeliverable. Is the one you posted (a few messages up from this one) still valid? We're also in Dallas & are also cruise addicts. Just wanted to "e-introduce" ourselves & get acquainted! :-)

That post was written 8 years ago and the posters were last on the board November 2012. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a response :)

Great review.
I would have stayed in front of the gentleman at the front desk until he produced the receipt you supposedly signed or woke someone up who could...but hey, thats just me.

Back when I was on the Jewel, I had a Creme Brulee in the MDR. O.M.G.!!! I have been thinking about it ever since. We're back on NCL in August and I really hope they still have it.
I think it was called Honey Creme Brulee and it had a chocolate layer on the bottom. :D
I think of this often....had it a few years ago and havent seen it since!

Im sad to read all these posts on Roatan. It was our favorite port....we walked to the beach and enjoyed the day. This was a few years back. I was much more concerned about the armed guards in Belize....

Ive never really understood booking all these restaurant reservations in advance. I change my mind on what i want for dinner 3 times after lunch....certainly not deciding what i want to eat 45 days from now...
-
You may want to give epic a try....while it also lacks the sea connection, ive been on it twice and enjoyed it both times.
-
Not exactly....but the first time i solo'd, it was cheaper for an inside than a studio on epic so they gave me the inside.
-
So you said it was different on RCL. I just looked it up and RCL is identical to NCL - $12, per day, added to your onboard account. You had no issue paying that, but screwed the crew out of $250 on NCL.
Justify all you want...you should be utterly ashamed of yourself. Stay in Europe.

An unattended suitcase outside a federally monitored cruise terminal?
I'd start with the Department of Homeland Security...

I was able to somehow get just white chicken breast so that helped....i dont care for second city, but this was probably among their better work with the crowd they had. It is of course hit or miss depending upon caliber of the participants.

It wasnt this way on the Dawn in October. I also heard prior to sailing that if you "pushed" on blackjack you lost the chip and pit boss on the dawn said that absolutely wasnt true. Seem to be different rules for different ships.

...what do you mean $323? Its supposed to be a full $500 prize? I mean, i stopped entering these when they decided only the winner of each ROUND could advance (ie, if six people all jave the highest scores all of a sudden, only the actuak winner moves on). But when did they start playing with the payout?

I think it also depends on the time of year. I went in January three years ago and I was 33 at the time. The next closest person in age was in their 50s, but I think the studios were still new at the time and it was an off time to cruise.
As people have said, very hit or miss, wew ent last january as well and there were a lot more younger people than "usual" per others observations. The two times ive been on epic the "singles" that were looking for love were mostly elderly men...no joke!

We dug up another three year old thread, eh? :-)
I think its on most ncl ships now. Tim kamienski hosted it on the dawn in the fall and it was hilarious...third time i had seen it so i sat out, but did offer a helpful hint about holes and socks to one poor guy gnawing away at his expensive looking black dress sock....

Never a fan of the buffet pizza, but the delivery is really good and you get a full sized pizza that could feed 2-3

While we all scoff at this, im sure it wouldnt phase the fools paying $9,000 per person for the garden villa.....
-
I love the surprise in the middle....
This simply affirms how far we've and how great people are. NCL easily could have seen this as a "hot potato" and politely declined but went all out. A million kudos to the staff.
-
If i were NCl....i wouldnt answer this unless there was an issue. Epic is one of their best ships and it is pretty close to impossible to have a bad time unless you try hard at it. Stop worrying about other whiny people with too much time on their hands and PACK!
What is the DASH sale

Its the usual pennies on the dollar on board spending :-) $12.50 for a studio...
