  1. We did our first trip to Alaska this summer. We booked HAL from Vancouver to Seward and started our land package there. We booked all excursions through HAL and felt each one was worth every penny spent. If we go back we will look at doing things on our own. Even planning a year out I was not comfortable with arranging things on my own without knowing logistics and conditions of travel. When anyone asks advise on planning an Alaska cruise we always say spend the extra time and money and do a land package of some sort. We really enjoyed the train to Denali then on to Fairbanks.

  2. We bought the $19.99 Tongass Alaska jackets in Ketchikan last month. We did not want to pack jackets and thought if we didn't like them we would leave them behind. We used them almost every day of the two weeks we were there and loved them. They are now back in Florida and hopefully we won't have to use them too many times this winter.

  3. Thank you for taking your time to share your trip with all of us. You have a gift of making us feel as we are there with you. I have never swam with the stingrays but after seeing your pictures it is on my list for our next visit to CG. It is refreshing to see how much you and your dad enjoy traveling together. May God bless you with many more cruise vacations together.

  4. I decorate our cabin doors and balcony windows for us and those traveling with us. Last Halloween we were banging on a door because of the decorations..Oops they had the same decorations as we used on friends door. We cruise alot on holidays so that makes decorating easier. In August we will go with beachy type decorations. It is fun and makes finding cabins easier.
