We are looking forward to the review.  Hate we weren’t able to make this work.  I love sailing out if NYC and need some warm weather in Bermuda.  Jim and I leave for Miami tomorrow afternoon for a quick 5 day on the Independence of the Seas leaving Saturday to hold us over to our 12 day Princess trip in January.  Taking dad on that trip if all goes well.  That four letter word “work” interferes with cruises I’d like to take. We will have to look at your spring trips and see if one will work.

@Riles34 thoughts and prayer for peace and comfort for you and your family.  Working in hospice, I unfortunately hear that there are many family members out there like the crappy ones you describe. Just remember no matter what they take you have the great memories of your wonderful grandfather and time spent learning from him, that can’t take those.  I just hope karma bites them in the backside if they cause any discomfort! 

@Jamman54 I hope you and Patti have a wonderful trip.  Wish we could have made it. This job thing is sure gets in the way of fun!  We will be jumping on a short RCI cruise in a couple of weeks.  Princess 12 day in January.  Nothing else planned as of now.  Have a red frog for Jim and Patti can have a mocha getaway for me.  We will waiting for pictures.

But the problem Is there are now a bunch of people who stand by the buttons and hit the door close button if nobody immediately gets on. And here I was ready to check with @Jamman54to get the dates he and Patti would be onboard. Maybe not.  Will have to wait for the wrap up. Like you, we are expanding to other brands. Price and the same old stuff on Carnival, we have Royal, Princess, and VV booked.  Thinking of trying NCL before your Alaska adventure. Some highs and some low points for them.  I have to say I really have enjoyed our short Royal and longer Princess cruises. Carnival has changed a lot and price has really increased for the product and experience.

We have not tried NCL. Have a 12 day Princess in January.  That will be our second Princess.  Looking for a great deal for a four-six day this fall. May try. Celebrity. Not finding deals with Carnival.

@MeganGC1983 I should probably wait until after you have all your luggage to say all this.  On our Miracle-Panorama cruise from LA we had our direct flight home canceled and had to fly LA to Miami.  We got to Miami to find our connecting flight was cancelled until Tuesday.   We rented a car to drive to Orlando.  No option to pick up our luggage.  I just needed to be home!   We drove to Orlando airport returned rental called shuttle to parking spot. Got home 5 hours later.  This was AA.  Luggage was a joke.  They sent the wrong luggage to our house.  When I called which the bag tag number. They asked me how I received that bag it was supposed to be on an international flight.  They asked me to open the bag to look for ID.  No way!  Then one of our cases arrived.  They didn’t pick up the wrong one.  Then several days later I arranged for the driver to do a bag swap.  What a conversation that was trying to get the AA Representative to understand that concept instead of sending two drivers.   I week an a half to get our luggage.   This was after swearing we would never fly them again. After I arrived in Athens and my luggage went to Ireland then London.  Had to shop before our cruise.  Not fun!  Luckily as we were waiting for our driver to pick up to go to the port the driver with out luggage arrived.   The flights were a cluster that trip!  At least our luggage arrived back in the US with us.  We cross pack suitcases now and hate to hand them over.

Our tour driver lives in Florida. Her and her boyfriend drive street cars here in the summer. Her second job is at this brewery.

 

She recommended the spruce tip beer but it doesn’t open till noon so I may not get to try it.

 

@Saint Greg I thought she looked like the lady that did our streetcar tour two years ago. Her BF was the driver and she was the guide. They acted some things out.  Said they lived in Ft. Meyers and did winters here in FL.  It was a decent tour.

This week has been a doozy!  Must be related to Debby!  I am ready to retire. Thought seriously today about throwing in the towel due to an employee making untrue accusations that are so wild my director won’t even entertain them.  Just leaves me feeling targeted and not a place I want to be at this stage of the game.  I need insurance and like the paycheck so really hoping things settle down and I can make it a year or two longer.  4 more years to medicare!  I know I won’t make it that long.   I like my benefits and have to suck it up and survive one or two years to keep the health insurance.  

@graphicguy Wow!  What a crazy wake up call!  Glad no one was injured and hope your car can be repaired quickly. 

My Princess vacation planner frequents this board but is leaving for a cruise in a few hours.  She is great!  She is also my Carnival and VV vacation planner. 

All caught up before you flew out!  Glad to be along for the fun and drinks.

My granddaughter is on a cruise with two stops in mexico. Told her to stay in touch to let me know where she really does this week.
