  1. Were there enough chairs for all or did people have to stand? Also, what was the "taste of the movie" like? What kinds of foods were paired up with the movies? Could my husband expect to watch the NFL on Sundays up there?

  2. We are loyal Princess customers. I never thought I would look at another cruises line. We have cruised with Admiral, Crown, Big Red Boat, Royal Caribbean, and Holland America. Once we tried Princess, we were hooked and are now at the Elite level. My husband and I continue to believe that Princess has a wonderful product, BUT.... The perks that Celebrity is offering has caused us to book a Celebrity cruise next year. I am trying to decide on 2 more cruises this year, but the Celebrity perks are tugging me that way. I wish Princess would offer the perks that others are promoting this fall. Please, Princess look at your competition. We really hate to leave you!

  3. For those new to B2B, I was one nervous Nellie the first time we did a B2B. Here is what I learned:

    1. Let your steward know that you are a B2B cruiser on day one. He or she will quickly reiterate the following information.

    2. A letter will arrive in your cabin THE NIGHT BEFORE YOU ARE ENDING YOUR FIRST LEG OF THE CRUISE!!!!! If you waste your time standing in line at the Purser's Desk, they will tell you the same thing.

    3. Belongings: If you are staying in the same cabin, your room remains untouched. If you are moving to a different cabin, you pack up your toiletries and any clothes that are on your shelves and place in your suitcases. A steward will come in with a rolling cart. They will take all the clothes in your closet that are on hangers and then all of your suitcases. They bring them to your new room for you.

    4. The letter will say exactly which lounge to go to and a specific time. No one can go through Immigration until all B2B passengers are in the lounge. On our last B2B, a couple was almost 1 hour late and we all had to wait for them. So, please be nice and arrive on time.

    5. Immigration: Can be either on board or in the embarkation building. If Immigration is on board, it is usually directly outside the meeting lounge for B2B passengers. After going through Immigration, you are free to roam the ship. If you have to get off the ship, you will be guided by a Princess Rep, and quickly go through Immigration and escorted back on the ship. You get back on the ship before all new pasengers.

    6. If you get off the ship to shop, you will have to go through the regular embarkation process.

    7. You do not have to do the second Muster Drill. We watched the NFL game while everyone else was at Muster!

In summary, you will be nervous and anxious for the first time doing this. Believe me, relax it will all be easier than you think. Enjoy!!

  4. Hi! I just booked the 11/6/2017 cruise and I have a few questions for all of the Celebrity Pros!

    1. What is the name of the Daily Schedule of events? I am trying to look up some to see what events are scheduled on a regular basis.

    2. Is there anywhere that we can watch the NFL games? We will really miss watching them outside.

    3. Where are the designated smoking areas? We are not smokers and were booked into veranda cabin 6231. I don't want to be directly above the smokers!

    4. Has anyone been in that cabin and have pictures? I want to make sure that it is not obstructed view.

I am excited to try Celebrity and appreciate any advice that you can throw my way!

  5. I could not find the information for the fees on the Celebrity website. I did not call Celebrity because I find the information from cruise critic customers wonderful and up to date. I went through a bunch of threads before posting to try to find the answer myself, but nothing was recent.

I appreciate those who took the time to answer my question.

  6. I am looking for information on the cost of the Persian Gardens for 1 week. I am Elite on Princess, but am surprising my sister with a cruise this fall. She loves the relaxation beds in the spa. I was wondering what the costs would be for the week? I appreciate any help!

  7. We are planning our first Med cruise this year. We have sailed in both balcony and Inside cabins, so I know the pros and cons of each. If the views are worth it, I will book a balcony. I know that Rome and Florence are far from the pier, so I am I correct in assuming that the docks are more "cargoish" in nature? If the views are not good, I would forgo the balcony and spend my money on tours. Please any advice would be appreciated.

  8. We are contemplating this cruise in September. Looking at inside cabins vs. balcony. Due to the number of ports, I am leaning towards inside. My question is: are the areas where the ship docks pretty or more of cargo area? I would book a balcony for the view if it is worth the money.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

  9. Norris,

I found this review today and stopped at page 35! It was addicting. I can't wait to finish it tomorrow. My dream has always been to get to the Cinque Terra. Your pictures just confirmed this. I truly appreciate the time that you put into this. I feel like this is a Trilogy of sorts for me. I will go back and catch your other Med and then follow you on X. We have never been on X and I am anxious to see your comparison. I hope you and your wife have a lovely trip. Rick Steves has some tough completion in you! Lisa

  10. Our top 20:

    1. Return of Scalloped Potatoes and Apple Crumb in the Crown Grill.

    2. 7 Day Southern Itinerary with Aruba and Bonaire out of FLL.

    3. Sail away party with coupons and better gifts.

    4. Drawing for a free cruise if you hand in a Disembarkation Survey.

    5. A real poolside Tailgate party at football games at MUTS.

    6. Wool blankets on all ships for MUTS.

    7. Butter on my popcorn.

    8. Afternoon movies on MUTS instead of trivia or change the "silent" trivia everyday.

    9. Get rid of concerts on MUTS. Seen them so many times!

    10. HC Beef station where the meat carving station serves a juicy medium rare cut of beef.

    11. Put the waffle man back at the Trident Grill. The smell filled the stairway and it was great! Having strawberries and whipped cream on hot waffles were to die for!

    12. The Seafood buffet on the first night of sailing!

    13. Large bar of soap in my shower.

    14. A shuffleboard tournament

    15. A stop in Tortola so I can go to "The Baths."

    16. A ship where everyone is treated the same. Suite people aren't any better than Interior cabin folks.

    17. Warm hot tubs. Keep kids out who swim and pee in them!

    18. Medium rare hamburgers at the Trident grill. I would even sign the "book" again for those!

    19. A waffle robes that fit you.

    20. Bert Stratton, Dueling pianos, or equivalent on every ship.
