This means no pesky flight to Sydney for our jaunt around Aussie on Dawn, just on the way home (unless someone else comes up with a cruise Syd - Akl 5th Oct!!!!!!!!!)

That didn't take much convincing LOL Hey what's an airfare :p I'm sure it will be much more comfortable for Norma and yourself cruising over and you'll be nice and chillaxed to start the next leg :D

All true Deb, and can always kid those getting on in Sydney that we've just done the World Cruise and thought we'd stay on for the Circumnavigation of Aussie!!!!

If you are going to have an inside cabin, take a couple of light sticks, the plastic kind that glow when you bend them. If you hang them on the bathroom door handle, it will be a guide to help find the bathroom without disturbing everyone else. You haven't seen dark until you are in a inside cabin at night!

We take a kids night light to plug in to the power socket, or if not that then leave the bathroom light on, it's amazing how much light comes through a slightly open door or even a closed one!!

We are seriously looking at it.

We will lose our airfares already paid but would rather travel to Sydney by sea, especially as we would be staying on Dawn for her next cruise!!! (Will save on taxi, hotel and dinner in Sydney on the 6th and have an extra 3 nights on Dawn. Does that sound like I'm trying to convince myself? Well I've succeeded. Off to the travel agent in the morning!)

Please add another cruise for us. We have booked on Sun Princess 28 Dec 2011 return to NZ from Brisbane.

I do want to try the "new "ships that are now visiting Aus, but sailing to and from Brisbane, with no air flights involved, won us again.

Go to www.celebritycruises.com then to Celebrity Century ship and then cruises. Current price for a twin inside cabin is NZ$1584 (approx Aus$1200) Then I guess you have to find a TA that will discount it.

Hi all you Dawn cruisers.

Please can you advise me of the power plugs and voltage on the Dawn.

Is it still fitted with the N American sockets at 110 volts or, now it is based in Australia, has it been changed to the Aus / NZ sockets operating at 230 volts.
