  1. For the last 20 years, I have always selected a specific cabin when booking. Due to a price issue, I booked a junior suite this time as a guarantee. When will I find out my exact cabin - the day of embarkation? Or sooner? And I will get nothing lower than a junior suite?

Thanks for any information for people who have already done this.

  2. Just booked a cruise out of Baltimore on Grandeur for January. If there is a snowstorm while you are sailing - do they clear lot before you disembark? Are cars totally snowed in - just wondered if anyone had this problem when sailing out of Baltimore in the winter. Or is it better to try to find a hotel with an enclosed parking garage? Any suggestions for hotels that provide free parking with garage and shuttle to pier? Thanks for any information you can provide.

  3. I know you get a Gold Card if in a suite cabin which gives you privileges including priority reserved seating in theater and ice show. Now that we have moved to Diamond Plus status do we get a gold card also to get the priority seating if not in a suite? Thank you!

  4. 1. What type of furniture is provided on balcony of Junior Suite - hoping for a larger table for room service breakfast?

    2. Is room service still included as part of cruise fare? On Quantum it was a fee for room service unless in a suite and we all know a junior suite is not a suite - wish they would rename.

If anyone stayed in 9344 on Liberty or other Freedom class ship - would appreciate a pic of cabin and/or balcony. Thanks!

  5. Yea - it is finally working on the website. Here is my concern - I am booked in a junior suite on Liberty of the Seas for October. We are on the hump right by the elevators - a great location. My question is this - what do they consider an upgrade? If they would upgrade us to a Grand Suite - a no brainer. If they consider a move of another junior suite to a higher deck - to me that is NOT an upgrade. I would rather stay where we booked. So here is the question - should I opt for possible upgrade or not. I would not wish to move to another junior suite.

I know there is only a slim chance of an upgrade, but now we are finally Diamond Plus and you never know. I would be interested to hear your opinion - thanks!

  6. Suite guests are able to book dining reservations online a little earlier than when it opens up for others. Here is the question - my wife and I are in a suite - my cousin is sailing with us in her own balcony cabin. When I make our reservations for specialty dining - can I reserve for the 3 of us ( even though she is not in a suite)? Question may seem trivial, but we all have the ultimate dining package and want to dine together every evening.

Also, will she able to embark with us or will she have to wait?

Thanks for any information - appreciate it!!

  7. On prior cruises - room service was free - just gave tip to person bringing food. On Quantum - there was a fee for most items (unless you were in a suite). I know in the past there was only a fee between 12 am and 6 am. What is the case on the Liberty - can we still get a full breakfast for no extra charge? Love breakfast on the balcony and avoid the WJ crowds on excursion days. Thanks for any info from recent Liberty cruisers.

  8. Thanks for the post - yes, we are following you. In reality - it is called able to afford another cruise since we don't have to pay to fly to Florida. We have sailed every class ship except the Freedom Class - so I am very anxious to sail the Liberty. In a junior suite this time - will miss our Grand Suite - and all the windows and the huge balcony. I think you were kind person that sent me all the pics before we sailed. Are you in a grand suite again?

To everyone else who posted - thanks for the answers about transportation to Horseshoe - looking forward to this cruise - but not going till October. Enjoy - smooth sailing to all!

  9. Since these dining areas were restructured for the various dynamic dining restaurants - will they be converted back to what they were before?? Since venues were made to look like Grande, Silk, Chic, American Icon - etc. SO if sailing if you in Chic setting - you will be in Chic section for entire cruise - but ALL will have the same menu? Not understanding how this will work - would cost a lot to redo AGAIN - sounds like they put the cart before the horse,
