  1. We are loyal Royals and will be Diamond plus after our Quantum cruise. Charging for room service was a poor decision for passengers. We always pay extra to get a balcony cabin so we can have room service for breakfast and not have to fight to get a table in WJ. They had us paying for room service from midnight to 6 am- ok - understandable. But, to charge for regular use for breakfast is taking advantage. Likewise, if someone is really paying big prices for a suite, certainly room service should be included. This could be a deal breaker for us - fine pay extra for a specialty restaurant THAT is a choice. But this surely is a big take away.

  2. Thanks so much for the video - staying in SGS on deck 8. Your video is great - really appreciate it. I am disappointed with the dividers on the corner of the wrap around balcony. I wish they were not there at all. Could you only open ONE side of the divider? It is a shame, as it really blocks the view. I thought this would be like the wrap around balconies on the aft of ships - no dividers at all in corner - just on each side. Anything you especially liked about this suite? Anything you didn't like? Thanks again - really appreciate you took the time to take this video. Did you use room service for breakfast or lunch? Was there a fee? I was hoping there would be no charge for room service in a suite.

  3. Joanna - thanks for taking the time to upload all the pics of this cruise, especially your superior grand suite. One last request if you have time - please take a pic of either of the entrances to the bathroom to see the configuration - great shots before - but from back further to see both sinks and tub to see how set up since RCI still does not have this on the website. Your suite looks amazing - and thanks for the advice about the coffee table - will have to be careful about that in March! Once again - thanks for all your pics - MOST appreciated - have a safe trip home!

  4. Thanks - yes I saw the pics on Shutterfly which shows the 2 sinks are not next 2 each other - just trying to figure out where the 2 different doors are since you have 2 doors/entrances going into the bathroom. Shutter fly pics are excellent, but taken close, and still not sure of room configuration. We are too anxious to sail this ship!!

  5. We know there are 2 sinks, but not next to each other. Royal Caribbean has not shown a floor plan of grand suite bathroom on their web site. If anyone is in a grand suite, please post a pic looking in the bath so we can see both sinks at the same time and tub to see how the room is configured. Thanks so much - just curious - since two entrances to bathroom.

  6. In looking at your pics, I totally agree, I think I would move the table and 2 chairs to the angled side of the balcony. That seems to be a great idea. Yes, I thought it would be more like the aft wraparound, but I can surely deal with this, as the suite looks wonderful - love the sliding glass doors, glass by bed, and the huge porthole. This gives us lots of sea visibility.

I liked the prior grand suites, but this looks good. The bathroom seems "unusual" but it might be nice actually having the 2 sinks NOT next to each other. If you have a chance - LAST request - HONEST - could take a quick snap looking into the bathroom from one of the doors - just hard to figure.

Again - thanks so much - this is so kind of you and your efforts are greatly appreciated. It was so disappointing that Royal Caribbean never gave a floor plan of this category cabin - bought this the first day it opened - just wish I had had more information earlier. The huge porthole was a nice surprise - that wowed me about the suite. Hope the ship is WOWING you!

Again, many thanks - wish you the best!

  7. I so much appreciate the time you took to give us a vantage point from the other side of the balcony - not as bad as I thought with the one side open (still wish other side could go away also). The size looks great and on a smooth sailing day will be fine when it is open. Again, this is YOUR vacation and you are most kind for keeping us updated on all our detailed questions. I assume you are totally happy with the superior grand suite. It looks lovely! It is hard to figure the bathroom configuration - but you said it was quite spacious. It seems so different from prior grand suites. Wishing you smooth sailing and a great cruise - again thanks - so excited to sail in March and appreciate your pics. ENJOY!!! We will be in 8234 right across the hall from you!!

  8. A BIG favor please - I love all the pics you posted of your superior grand suite on the Launchers page. If you have extra time could you please take a pic from on the balcony - from the end of the right side as you exit looking toward the wrap around area. It is hard from the close up of the opening to get to wrap around to see how much that divider really blocks the view. I DO wish they could just remove those dividers in the corner for a clear view. Maybe it isn't as bad as I think it is - thanks so much - wishing you smooth sailing and a wonderful cruise - it is so kind of you to take pics and provide comments for us. Thanks again - much appreciated. Looking forward to this balcony pic and any others you post on Launchers page - so exciting to finally see the details. LOVE the huge porthole - suite looks "sweet" - hope you enjoy it!!

  9. If you take a close look at the first USA Today photo posted in another thread - it seems as though the balcony dividers have been removed and that it is now a true wrap around balcony on the superior grand suite - check it out - see if you agree - looks different than the other pictures earlier!

  10. In my prior post, I meant to say our relatives were in a balcony CABIN, not a suite, and they are confirmed to dine with us for one meal in the Coastal Kitchen. We are in Grand Suite. Sorry for typing error. Had we booked more originally they would have been allowed - however , they cannot join us on any more since that early booking window in April closed.

  11. We are in a Grand Suite and our 2 relatives are in a balcony suite. When I set up our dinner reservations, I was told we could have our 2 relatives join us in the Coastal Kitchen and our reservations had to be linked (which they were). We booked our dining way back in April when it first opened. Later, when we went to schedule entertainment, there was a conflict, so I called to change a dinner reservation. I was told my relatives were NO longer allowed to join us in the Coastal Kitchen for any NEW reservations - the one original one was fine and still ok. I was told there was just a short window of time where suite guests were allowed to book CK with a linked suite guest. But now not allowed to do so. Go figure.

  12. Although we are looking forward to a different dining experience with Dynamic Dining on Quantum, we are hoping that LIBERTY keeps traditional dining. I know Allure and Oasis are converting and they are thinking about it for other ships. Please keep your eyes and ears open to see if there are any plans to convert Liberty to Dynamic Dining. We are hoping it stays traditional - love having the same waitstaff every night. Hoping not all ships converted to Dynamic Dining. We want the variety of choices for different ships - not all the same. It would be nice to know that Liberty will stay traditional. THANKS!!
