Mendenhall glacier. Pics of seals from Hubbard glacier. Pic of my wife and friends at Mendenhall glacier. Pic of Radiance Of seas taken in Icy Strait point. We took over 3000 pics between 6 0f us. Wish I could post them all and alot of the vids as well.

  2. Still trying but starting to not like CC's new updates of recent.cheryle%252520pics%252520221.JPG032.JPG049.JPG Finally!

Picture of sleeping bear was taken at Mendenhall Glacier. Was taken on the east glacier loop. Not part of an excursion just a very long and nice hike. The pod of Hump back whales was taken from excursion out of Hoonah (Misty bay lodge) There was actually 13 whales total in the pod. The pic of glacier is Hubbard. We were 15 miles out at time of pic.

  3. Thought it would be fun if we had a thread that people just posted pics from their Alaska sailings. I know that there is a thread with pics out there already but area specific is easier for people searching. I'll post 3 of my favs from my most recent sailing. photo.php?fbid=2081417227575&set=a.2080363441231.2112770.1009401317&type=1

  5. Hey guys

I have been working on my videos and have several done or almost done.

Here is the one from Seward, aboard major marine. It was awesome, lots and lots of marine life.

If you have 8 minutes to spare, check it out.

    Thanks

I am uploading the Bears movie as we speak (type :) )

Very nicely done..... ...Thanks again for all the great pics and awesome review..:)

  6. Don't forget about the toursavors book....this is one of the B1G1...it will save you $168 (before taking out the $99 the book costs) Look and see if you can use any of the other coupons in it

THis book was incredible for us.

    Jen,

We almost bought the book but found out that a lot of the places in it will only honor one coupon per excursion. So if one of their time slots has a person booked with coupon no one else can use it during that booking. So if any one plans on using coupon make sure to call and see if its been applied yet for the desired time.

  7. Had you booked through the cruiseline? I just wonder why they told our table mates that you couldn't "catch up"? When obviously you can because you did.

I would love to know if you can't catch up then why???

I'm glad you got on....that is an expensive trip to miss.

If it leaves out of Alaska you can catch up. If out of Canada, Thats where the issues comes into play. Customs...That may be the reason?

  8. Good morning everyone, I have done a search here as well as google and youtube and can't find what I'm looking for.

Does anyone know where I can find a sound file of the Ding sound made when your seapass card gets swiped as you board the ship?

    TIA!

Best place to find that sound file... Book and take a cruise.:) I am looking for also. Will post once I find.;)

This ones close and some of it depends on which ship you ding thru. http://www.ilovewavs.com/Effects/Beeps/Beeps.htm then click ding wave.

  9. Cabin 9500 (or 9000) on the Radiance class ships are the very last (E1 balcony) cabins forward. I've read that if standing on the balcony, you can look up (1 deck) and wave to the captain or any crew that might be standing in the bridge wing extensions.

Now my question is, how much of the balcony and/or cabin can they see? (i.e. is a persons privacy limited because of the "close" proximity)

Here's a pic I took from the wing looking back. This isn't the ROS, is on the LOS. Notice how much of the balcs you can look on to tho. Hope this helps.

  10. Oh, yeah. I guess I kinda forgot about that final tourney. Duh! Any idea what the prize breakdown is for that tourney? I saw you qualified for it. Nice job!!! I really hope there's some OK poker to play on my Adventure of Seas cruise next month.

When talking with Casino on phone they can only give possible scenario on finals. All depends on how many actually qualify through out year, which is based on passenger participation each sailing and each tourney.

  11. Entry fee is $100 for 7 day. I was on a 4 day when I won. Entry fee was $75. We had 8 total tables. Top player at each table went on to finals. So there was 8 of us in finals. 3rd place was $210, 2nd place was $490, 1st was 7 night cruise, Allure, Dec. 11, 2011 for 2 OV.

So out of like 50-60 people entering the satellites at $75, only 3 won anything? Sounds like the cruise is making a killing off these tourneys.

Casino then pays for 7 night for 2 to play. Monies collected at satellites goes towards finals. Pot size in finals is around 100k if all slots filled. Yes, I'm sure the casino is making money. Isn't that what they're suppose to do?
