  1. Our sailing on Saturday is the first one that I have pre-purchased the wifi package prior to the cruise? How will I reference it to use it? I've purchased directly from the app while on board before, but how will I activate a pre-paid package?

    Thanks

  2. We decided to keep our Panorama deck room. Sobering mentioned that the balconies in the spa deck are not covered. Can someone confirm this?

Yep. That is why I actually really disliked our spa room. No cover, and the location was difficult to get to.

For our next sailing on the magic, we're in a regular balcony on deck 8 and we just got the spa pass.

  3. I believe that this should work. I split the $500 between paying the remaining on a cruise and then some OBC on Holland America during the last offer and got the $100 back. As I posted last night, there is no wording in the offer saying it has to be in a single transaction. I'm not sure if buying OBC on Carnival works, but if you have another reservation to pay on that is the safe way to handle it. Worst case if you do not get credited for the offer, you have a strong case with AMEX CS since there is no single transaction wording.

What 10% gift card are you talking about?

Thanks. I would think it would work because other non-related offers on my Amex have qualified on multiple transactions totalling the amount.

10% gift card is referring to getting a carnival gift card at 10% off face value from either Verizon, Allstate or Citi easy deals.

  4. I went back and reread it. I thought you meant using the offer on multiple cards and getting the credits. No I hav we tried to make separate transactions for less then $500.

You made separate transactions that totaled $500 or more? And all we're to the booking (not funshop/ bon voyage)?

I have gotten the offer on 3 cards on our account. I have one more unredeeemed offer left to use. But I owe $40 on my kids' room, $173 on mine, and have another I can pay the rest towards to total $500. But I haven't tried this yet and would hate to try and not get the discount when I could just do the 10% gift card if nothing else.

    Thanks

  5. Posted on another thread: "The Miracle on the Mexican Rivera cruise changes ship time a couple of times but are never the same time zone as the ports they visit. Ships time on the cruises we have taken has always been one hour behind local time in PV, Mazt and Cabo.

Cabo and Matz are on Mountain time zone, PV is on Central time zone."

Thanks. I think I recall one hour behind is what it has been. Just could not remember for sure.

  6. If it was so bad why did you not take advantage of the guarantee? I really hate when I see threads like this that everything was so horrible from the start that they did not just get off the ship.

OK This is just a ridiculous question. Who is going to take their extended family and exit after the first night. Don't even ask a silly question like this. OP shared the experience they encountered. That doesn't mean they want to cancel a cruise they planned for months and months and get off in a foreign port and try to figure out what to do next.

    please.

  7. We had booked ocean view rooms at the Best Western Cocoa Beach, but rooms were not even close to being ready. They gave us access to the pool and suggested lunch at the pier next door. The pier was closed due to storm damage from the day before, so we ended up at Coasters across the street. Very yummy! We hit Publix for soda, wine, and snacks and headed back to the Best Western. Rooms still weren't ready! We checked out the beach, went for a swim, had a drink at the pool bar, and finally got into our rooms. Rooms were OK. Definitely showing wear and tear, but it would do for a night. Had dinner down the street and wouldn't recommend the place. I can't even remember the name.

We found a 3" cockroach in there, and we slept with one eye open all night.

  8. That WAS the case last time. I have 4 cards under 1 account and I used the offer w/ all 4 cards last time. However, on 07/05 I added the offer to ALL 4 cards under each login and they were all there. I used the offer on my card (not the main card) on 07/05. The charge posted on 07/07 (today) and the $100 credit shows on my DH's page (the main account holder) NOT under my log in. When I questioned this, I was advised and sent the "
" that it is 1 offer redeemable per account, NOT per card this go round. The offer no longer shows up under each card holder.

This is wrong. please stop posting it. See the pic I posted from my experience.

  9. You're not being clear about the word "account" so I don't fully understand what you're saying.

It's bogus misinformation that has been posted. See my picture posted above. The offer is redeemable on all your cards (not one per account) so long as you add the offer to each card.

I just realized this is a different thread. Here is a picture that shows the deal is in fact available to multiple authorized user cards when you add the offer to each respective card:

    amex.JPG.018f920d61cdd159da37b3ce915bdb9b.JPG

To the poster who keeps pushing the misinformation: I'm sure that came from an Amex rep who does not fully understand how their offers work. Please stop posting it. It is not true.

  10. If you have authorized users on your card, you have to make an account for them, and then add the offer to their cards as well. I learned the hard way that any offers do not repeat on cards on the same account unless they are specifically added./quote]

Ok - just want to make sure I understand. My daughter and husband are aurthorized users on my account. My husband is already set up that he has his own online access. I would have to do the same for my daughter to make sure she gets the offer. She just booked a carnival cruise onboard her honeymoon cruise last week and would like to offer this to her.

    Thanks,

Yes; she will have to have an online account to add the offer.

  11. That's the card I have and yes, I did get the offer. Added it on 07/05. Paid $500 toward an existing balance on 07/05. Got the $100 credit back this AM.

However, after getting the $100 back ... the offer did not show on our other cards. Hence my asking the guy in chat this AM, who sent me the language stating that it was redeemable 1x PER ACCOUNT, not card.

This is incorrect. All four of my cards on the same account had the offer. I've successfully redeemed on two so far...

  12. They made a change to the "terms" of the offer this go round ...

You can ONLY use the offer ONCE with each ACCOUNT. Not once per card holder like last time.

It showed in our offers this time. Last time we had to do an online chat and get the rep to add it b/c it wasn't showing.

That is not true seeing as I have mine and my husband's (hes an au on my account) both showing $100 credit for each of our $500 charges...

  13. I did not have an AMEX card. So I applied and received a large line and $250 off $1000 in first three months.

Here's my question, I have a large balance due on my cruise, $3900. If I make a payment when I get my card of $1000, I get $250. If I wait a month or two and make another payment, would I get the $100 offer too?

    Not greedy, just wise.

No. These are offer specfic. You have to add the offer to the particular card and then make the payment. If they have another offer, you can do it again. As an example, the last time they had the offer, it ended 4/30/17. So it was a couple of months before they had it again. If you have a cruise planned long out, and you can add the offer through two offer periods, then yes you can get the deal again, but this one expires 12/31/17, so it won't be offered again until sometime after it has expired.

If you have authorized users on your card, you have to make an account for them, and then add the offer to their cards as well. I learned the hard way that any offers do not repeat on cards on the same account unless they are specifically added.

    Hope this helps,

PS. which Amex did you get? The $250 offer sounds like it might be blue cash, and that usually is not available for these cruise line offers.Neither is the Delta Amex...

  14. Everyone who didn't see it, check again.

My authorized user cards for my sons did not have the offer. As soon as I redeemed the offer on my husband's and my cards, the offer showed up for my sons' cards.

As for the time frame of the cruise. I have found that even though my cruises were booked outside of the stated window, that the offer still paid.

The question I do have is: I now only owe $118 on one of my cruises. Has anyone found if you made several payments that added up to $500+ that it still paid out?

What about excursion payments (I know it doesn't say that, but has anyone found otherwise to be true?)

    Thanks,

  15. Has anyone ever uber'd to the port canaveral rental car depot? We have fttf and I should be platinum on this cruise, but last time we got off in the early flight group (after fttf and platinum) and the shuttle sat there for 20-30 mins waiting for more pax. We want to get to WDW as early as possible and need to get our rental car on Mullet.

Has anyone gotten an uber to the rental place? I've never uber'd so I don't know the fees and the sitch.

    Thanks.
