Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Poesia from Coppenhagen in July 2024
  2. I will try it thank you
  3. If you click on an individual excursion the description is all jumbled together with no spaces between the words, makes if impossible to read
  4. We are going to Norway on MSC next July and I need help with shore excursions, the MSC web site sucks and does not describe the excursions clearly, we land in Copenhagen and I will book excursions with Viator before we board the ship but once we depart I would like to book through MSC, firt stop is Warnenmunde (we don't want to go to Berlin-to far away), second stop is Bergen and then Eidfjord and then Kristiansand and last stop Oslo. Has anyone done shore excursion in these towns and is so what do you recommend, If the answer is don't book any and just walk the port area that is also fine, really need some help here,

  6. Do you still get a free bottle of wine on embarkation day if you book a specialty restaurant?
  7. Thanks for the info, what about food is that included?
  8. Does someone know if your Princess Cruise drink package is good on the Princess Cays island?
  9. I will drink responsibly, we just got off Princess and had a 15 drinks a day limit and we never came close, how sure are you of the "no limit"
  10. We are looking at a cruise on Azamara cruise line, they say on their website that drinks are included but they don't say what the daily limit is. Is it 15 like Princess or 2, can someone help me out. Not interested in buying a drink pckg I would like to know what they provide for free. Thank you
  11. I don't see a tour for Guadalupe can you take a quick look for me on the Ensenada tours tell me which one you're talking about
  12. Thanks for that information is it safe in the city
  13. On my earlier post I happened to mention that there were a lot of mobility impaired and obese people on the cruise it was not said in a mean way but a factual and informative way But unfortunately some people still got their panties in a bunch When we arrived in San Francisco we went to Pier 39 and Fisherman's wharf very commercial but if it's a nice day it's good for walking around lots of shops and restaurants later in the day we went to Chinatown and did a independent walk tour really enjoyed it had dim sum in one of the restaurants The big disappointment was Sausalito a lot of the shops we're not open and only open on certain days of the week. The taxi ride to Sausalito was $45 each way so a waste of $90 Today we arrived in San Diego and we ended up taking a princess operated harbor cruise it was very enjoyable there were at least 15 warships in the harbor. Later in the day we took a taxi to Balboa park is a beautiful park and well worth a visit lots of museums and gardens highly recommend it. On board the princess Emerald the staff has been fantastic but the entertainment has been very poor last night we went to see a comedy show and after 10 minutes we had to walk out as did a lot of other people. The crown grill and sabatini's have been good for dinner the crown grill especially if you're inclined to book a specialty restaurant. Tomorrow we talk and Ensenada and I'll post more about that port later on
  14. We are currently on board Emerald princess California coast Cruise this post will be somewhat short cuz we're only into day three of our cruise we have enough facing cabin and I must say the balcony seems extra large and it's great to watch the wake a little about us we have traveled extensively and have been on several cruises but not for the last 5 years I booked this Cruise because I wanted to see San Francisco and San Diego which I have never been to I will try to be as accurate as possible in my intention is not to offend anyone but to enlighten and future cruisers on this itinerary and Believe me when I say this I do not wish to cause a conversation about this but the accuracy of the statement is 100% on this Cruise 80% of the cruisers are 60 years of age or older many in their 80s at least 15% to 20% of the cruisers are obese at least 15% of the cruisers are mobility impaired having to use wheelchairs walkers canes or scooters this is not a reflection on them because they have an infirmity but just something to be aware of if you booked this Cruise because they definitely slow down the elevators and the lines to the food courts My impression of the food so far is it is only moderately Fair we went to a specialty restaurant sabatinis and it was good the main dining rooms Botticelli Michaelangelo and DaVinci's have hit and missed dinners we ate at botticelli's tonight and it was really really bad Sorry for the negatives and I don't want to depress people who are looking at this Cruise but my view is princess has gone downhill the entertainment has also been hit and miss some good shows and some really boring shows the music singers in pianos some have been good some have been terrible As I said at the beginning the review or post is inconclusive because I'm only in my third day but we paid a lot of money for a product that seems to be lacking in several areas the one area where they are really really good is the service of the employees top notch all the way all right further as my cruise goes along oh and by the way the long talked about discussion about what to wear at dinner time I can tell you no men wear suits and jackets much less ties during non-formal nights in the dining rooms on the formal night which was last night about 50% of the men had either a Tie suit or jacket the rest had smart casual I would not bother with a suit or jacket on this type of cruise
