I also managed to find the jewelry store that sold the middle ground between plastic and diamond encrusted diamonds ... I know it's probably overpriced, but I bought myself a pendant to match a ring I got on my last cruise in 2018. All of the jewelry I bought myself had been while I was traveling, and each piece brings me back to a trip and all the good memories that came from it.

Also, from a mixture of refunded port fees and a couple of things I ended up cancelling, my onboard credit basically covered the cost.

    very pretty.

PS. sorry about the luggage tags. I hate seeing them too. Just once I want to be on a cruise so long that i am excited to see them. I am booked for the 2 week Greenland cruise so many then. Doubtful tho...

Enjoy your last formal night. Is it disco night also?

Good for him for trying. Bringing it affected no one else on the cruise even if it was used.

What I don't like is those jack a$$'s who bring their huge DSLR cameras with them and just have to make a photo record of, not only all their meals, but the meals of everyone else at their table.  It's a frigging piece of chicken, get over it!  🛑 📸 🍽️

i mean, we all like food pron but there is a limit.

Is it just me or has the Deluxe Beverage Package prices so high it no longer makes sense to buy it? Our cruise is in a few weeks and I have diligently checked the price, the cheapest it has been listed at is $72.99. Even the Black Friday sale was at this price. Now they have the Holiday specials and still at this price. For 2 people this amount is $1,168.00!! Almost as much as our cruise price. Sorry this is just ridiculous and I am disappointed. I guess I will be brown bagging 2 bottles of wine.

    nope they are outrageous.

I purchased it for my cruise on Friday ONLY because my daughter turns 21 on Thursday. this will be the only time she will ever get one. with 4 free drinks a day, we can deal without getting the package. but since this is her first legal time i figured i would splurge.

When leaving the terminal I always take a quick glance at the table where they have the confiscated items waiting for reclaim.

It is amazing what kind of crazy stuff people try to take on the ship!!

OMG, right? the shear amount of people who want to iron stuff on vacation is amazing.

I do want to bring my heating pad tho. I wonder if it is allowed...

Normally it's night 2 and night 7 on an 8 night cruise.    We've done over a dozen cruise out of Baltimore on GR and EN and it's always night 2 and then the next to the last night (so night 11 on a 12 night, night 7 on an 8 night).  Who said tomorrow is another formal night?

they have an additional one on holiday cruises. NYE is the same way. Unless the holiday lands on the normal formal night (2 and 7) then we get an extra one.

By parents informing those in their care that there is a curfew and that they expect them to comply with that expectation?

BOOM! right here. Best comment of the day!

But if those parents dont have the discussion with their kids about curfew, security will escort them to their staterooms and have the discussion with said parents and kids.

I'd rather see their Fish & Chips instead of the salmon.

I've liked most of what I've had in the MDR, but you're saying it well when you advocate for the "safe options".

Surely you mean you've just tried the spaghetti on RCCI?  Surely you haven't gone your whole life without eating spaghetti?

hahaha. yes, first time eating RCCI spaghetti. It is YUMMY!

  8. I have to ton of classics I adore. i can eat ceasar salad and french onion soup every single night. And dont get me started on the fact that i just tried spaghetti for the first time in May and feel like i have missed out all these years...

things change. sometimes it is to stay with the times. others it is to stay afloat or give customers the best bang for their buck. The fact that we are having a discussion about tablecloth preference and where workers hail from is proof that we are very much talking 1st world problems.

dont like the new menu then cruise elsewhere. there is nothing in the cruise contract that says nothing will ever change. I think food is one of my top priorities but it wont been a game changer and i assume most people feel the same way.

PS. a food aversion is the same as a preference and NOT the same as an allergy. An allergy can kill you, an aversion will not.

Because of boors, slow eaters who slow down service for the entire table, people who think shorts, T-shirt and a ball cap are smart casual, religious zealots, political zealots, drunks, and feral children.

    Need more?

all this! The Massholes ruined it for me. Wearing sweatpants with their diamond pins on formal night while blowing their noses into the napkins put me over the edge.

You can use free government tests (or any FDA authorized test) & get proctored by 3rd party sites like RapidTestAndTrace online for $20. Results will be emailed during your 15-20 minute session while you’re still on the video call.

i had no idea! I have access to plenty of test kits but no way to get them proctored. thanks so much!

    Where do you get ice🤔

Oh yeah, that is the only issue. I have to get it from park cafe or wj. but i am walking off my plate of french toast and bacon anyways. but it would be wonderful to have a counter top ice machine up there.
