  1. Try this guy! He's totally awesome. Tell him about your roommates fear, no guarantee he will know where to go where there is no spiders, but worth a try! We used him a couple years ago, I too have a fear of spiders, and I don't think I ever SAW one... I'm sure they were there, but I didn't see them.

Ask for Jorge, tell him Tammy sent you 🙂

  2. Wondering about what to do in port NOT on a ship tour? Well, Jorge is your guy. We have used him in the past, and have another excursion booked with him next month. I've sent countless friends to him, and no one has ever been dissapointed.

He speaks very good English, and was super helpful in customizing our tour. Since we'd toured with him a few years ago, we became friends and stayed in touch, and even booked our parents to go on tour with him next week!

On our next trip to Port Limon, we asked for a bit more customizable since we'd done most of what he offers the first time around. He is super accommodating and we absolutely love him. I know you will too!

He recently added on some extra guides as he is getting busy. I HIGHLY recommend him, please give him a try instead of using the typical big bus tour with 100 of your closest cruise friends 🙂

All the soft materials of the public areas were refurbished for her return after covid because they were already waiting in storage. Some of the hard scape was done too. It’s only the rooms that were skipped, but honestly my carpet looks brand new. Connie is in great shape.

All the areas you mention are free to you with the possible exception of whatever small pool you saw on an upper deck--not sure what you are referring to.  If it's the main pool (which is not large), it is free to you.  As far as I'm aware, there is not a pool in the Aqua Class area.  Anything connected with the spa will have a fee involved.  Be sure to check out the thalassotherapy pool--it will be great for your recovery.

This is an old post, but I happen to come across it and know the pool you speak of.

So on the Connie, they have a crew area, towards the very front of the ship. That pool is for crew. I have seen it in person while going to the helipad for sailaway a few times. It is not something any guest can use. I remember thinking its a bit odd that guests can even see it, but its there, and ha a small outdoor area with a bar for them.

Here is a photo of where it is.

I know the luggage valet service with Celebrity has not returned after covid.  I just read that HAL is offering LuggageDirect in Fort Lauderdale.   Has anyone heard anything about Celebrity  using this service?  Any info appreciated.  Cruising next week.  Thanks

We have used luggage valet since covid on both Celeb and RC. Not available in all ports though. So you'll have to check when you get on board.

  6. I am an avid snorkeler, I went with a friend who had NEVER snorkeled, she killed it first try, which was off the beach. She was so nervous, but its super easy. I think that if you give it a try, you'll be glad you did. But of course, the snorkels are usually in between the other 2 daily excursions, so you dont have to go on them. Or you can go in the zodiac and not get in the water. Your call. The wetsuits, they are thick, no idea how thick, but they do help keep you boyant for sure. You might be able to search on youtube and see some of the snorkels there too.

  7. Dont send anything that you cant wear if totally shrunk. I've writted cold water low dry, and still comes back 2 sizes smaller. But now that we know that, we pack accordingly.

Also, we didnt have enough laundry to fill our bag, so a friend we met on the cruise added in some socks and undies and a pair of pants. HIS pants were lost.. I think to this day he thinks we kept them.

    But didnt of course!

  8. I am an agent and booked for a guest. The cruise is 2 years out, so chances are prices will be higher. I specifically asked about this scenario. 2nd guest gets added, they rebook at prevailing rate, and lose all benefits they had at original booking, BUT the person WAS paying double at the time, so it will be less for that person. The cruise is booked as a single, so deposits tax all that stuff is calculated that way, there is also a single supplement, which like was said above, might not be at full fare x2. So its not that easy to add a 2nd person.. You should call your travel agent, or celebrity and find out.

    Have fun!

  9. I am just back from a Royal Cruise, I dont even want to get into the cluster that was the getting the test kits in time.. but it worked out in the end.

I did a great deal of research on these kits. It seems the expiration date issue was due to: Abbott was told to stop making kits some time last year. They did.. Then they were told to destroy remaining inventory.. they did.. by the thousands per day. Then, they were told- wait, stop destroying, we'll allow these proctored kits to be used after all..

Of course I am paraphrasing, but you can google it yourself to get full details.

That is why most if not all kits they are sending have wierd short expiration dates. Once they go through the backlog of what they have left, I'm sure they'll start making new kits again. No idea when that will be.

These kits were so very hard for us to find. We were told 5 days before leaving on our cruise the requirement was 2 days instead of 3, and that meant since we were traveling and not going to be home, we had to buy the kits.. Problem is, the whole rest of the world, NOT traveling as soon as us, bought them too, leaving very few for those of us that needed them right away..

Moral of the story, if I were all of you. I'd wait until a week or two before you sail to order them, both have very quick shipping (so they say). And then if you're stuck with a 6 pack, they might have a longer shelf life..
