Following.
I have the same ports on NCL and will have a (very active) 2.5 year old. I'm hoping for walkable with a stroller, or we'll rent a car and bring a carseat.
-
I never implied it wasn't safe. I implied it was safer than city tap water because of the RO treatment.
-
Isn't ship water super safe because they use reverse osmosis?
-
Why don't CC users do this for every cruise? 🤔
-
He can skip the ports and spend all of his time on the ship if he chooses, right?
-
Yikes, so scary! I would be a mess if that was my ds. I will make sure to inspect our whole cabin on arrival. ☹
-
I've read some older threads saying they had Sapporo and Warsteiner. I'd be happy with those choices over the basic domestics too. Here's hoping!
-
I'm an excellent web tester if RC would like to hire me. :)
-
Med hands down.

NCL website says:
"At least 12 months of age on the day of boarding if your cruise has 3 or more consecutive days at sea."

We will be on NCL for the first time in June. I would appreciate an upgrade for the space (family of 4), but I'd be scared to switch as I have a nice midship location. I'd be worried my upgrade wouldn't be midship.

Such a sad beer list.
-
Sounds amazing!

How bizarre and funny!! I would have to go watch this!

Colosseum, hands down. I loved the feeling of the history. I could have stayed there all day. I did the tour of the "underground" bottom level. Those sell out, so reserve before you go.

Don't get too excited by anything you may see on this thread. It is about a specific bar on the Escape, which has a far better selection than elsewhere.
Â
The selection you will find onboard the Gem will indeed be pretty sad.

Guess I'll have to stick to wine or find some mixed drinks to try.
Â
Are the Bloody Mary's any good?
They were delicious on Princess and Holland America.

I have 150 days and already have cruise-itis!
-
I've been wondering if NCL has any craft beers. I'll be on Gem this summer.
Â
The beer offerings I see posted online look pretty sad.
-
Sounds cool!

Is that an app you're using to track the ship?
-
I plan to bring a non-slip plate and a plastic fork and spoon for my 2.5 year old. Also a sippy cup with lid.
-
My ds will be 2.5 when he first cruises. Currently he only knows his first name. If he were to get separated from us on the ship (or during an excursion), how can I help ensure that he is identified and we are located?
Â
Does the cruise ship provide an ID arm band for him? We'll be on Norwegian.
Â
Or what is the "norm", or do you have tips to recommend? I'm thinking that writing our room number in Sharpe on his arm is maybe not the best idea...

There is no regulation concerning bottles, there is a regulation concerning beverages. Bring as many empty bottles as you want. BTW filling from a dispenser is not frowned upon as long as you follow the proper procedure.
What is the procedure for filling from the dispenser, please?

Interesting, I didn't realize they load drinking water at the ports. Do they do that because it's cheaper than operating the RO system?
