Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thanks for alerting me to the sale. I cancelled and repurchased for TWO devices.
  2. Were you able to cancel online at My Cunard, or did you have to phone them? TIA
  3. Us too for our July 2024 crossing. I am thinking of purchasing the package NOW, for that cruise to reserve the lower price......
  4. I notice that now there are two prices for shore excursions, a "tour price" and a "simply more" price and sometimes an "unlimited" price. Sometimes they are all the same, but often the "simply more" and "unlimited" prices are lower. Can anyone explain this? I assume the simply more price applies to bookings under the new program and which is the amount that would count against the included shore excursion credit. What is the "unlimited" price? Why are there differences in price? How does that make sense?
  5. I'm confused by your statement. The idea of a "side shopping trip" in each port is not consistent with Oceania's stated policy at https://oceaniacruises.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005405394-What-is-your-alcohol-policy-for-bringing-bottles-on-board- "any additional purchases above and beyond the three (now 6) bottles made during the cruise at any of the ports may be held for you until the end of the cruise."
  6. We are 18 days to boarding with a GTY Balcony on the Regal and have not yet had our stateroom assignment, despite the fact that all balcony staterooms are showing as sold out for our cruise. What are folks' experience with how far in advance of a cruise is it typical for a stateroom assignment to happen? On other lines we've cruised on, we had our assignment by now.
  7. I'm sure it has been discussed before but I can't easily find it by searching..... Are the drinks available in the mini-bar covered by the drinks package????
  8. That's us exactly - Business flights to Rome for September. So Steelers 36: Prior to ticketing, if an airline cancels, EZair will rebook at no additional cost. After ticketing, the airline rebooking policies apply. I guess I would want to determine whether those policies also include no additional cost?
  9. With all the air travel chaos, much has been posted here and elsewhere regarding problems with EZ Air. Generally, advice posted seems to be to insure your "confirmed" reservations are "ticketed" as soon as possible by requesting "early ticketing" whenever possible. I am trying to understand this better. The facts as I know them are that a perk of EZ air confirmed reservations is that they are flexible, meaning they can be changed or cancelled with no penalty up to 45 days prior to the cruise. I assume this is because they are not yet ticketed. In the period between full payment for the cruise and airfare, until 45 days prior to the cruise, the reservations may still not be "ticketed". This sometimes means seats cannot be selected, and flights may be changed unilaterally by EZ air - not always to the customer's satisfaction. I'm trying to evaluate any downside of asking for them to be ticketed assuming you are happy with the flights. If the airline cancels any of the flights or segments, wouldn't they also have to rebook you on another flight at no additional charge?
