Sailing on the Volendam on 14 June 2023 in an inside cabin.
I can not remember the number of electrical plugs, etc in the cabins. I am hoping that someone has an answer for me.
Thanks in advance.

Thingvellir national park was our first stop. You get off at the top and then walk down through a crack between the tectonic plates and meet the bus at the bottom. If you can’t do the walk you can stay on the bus and ride it to the bottom.
Approximately how long did it take to walk between the drop off and pick up points?
Thanks.

Good Morning from a very wet and grey island. It makes me long for the sunshine and sand of Grand Turk.
Here are a few photos from our visits to Grand Turk.

Happy Thanksgiving.
It is a beautiful sunny autumn day here. The sunshine is melting the light frost we had last night. I guess this week I should pull up the annuals.
Tonight will be roast turkey for two with stuffing/dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts and carrots. Dessert will be a pumpkin swirl cheesecake. The wine is a pinot gris from the Similkameen Valley. I think we will be eating turkey and cheesecake all week.

Good Morning.
With all the rain and gray skies lately it feels as though gin and tonic season has passed. Oh well, there is always next summer.
I am hoping that the rain holds off for a few days so I can get my daffodil bulbs planted. I have purchased approx. 90 new bulbs that need to make it into the ground sooner than later. They should make quite the show next spring.

White Rabbit! White Rabbit! White Rabbit!
I was thinking of making brownies today, but may instead make either peanut butter or chocolate chip cookies. I have not baked in months due to inclination, but I do have the ingredients on hand. Will I bake? Who knows.
Have a good day and enjoy your coffee.

Good Morning.
Another rainy day here. Some how it seems appropriate today with it being National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Below are photos of our day in the port of Hilo in 2011.

Hello from Ellie on Never Bean Better Day.
Not much new here. Another smoke filled sky. Fingers crossed they get control of the fires soon.

Good Morning.
We have been to today's port twice, both times on board the Zaandam.
Photos from 2011.
Then again in 2012.
We had a great time watching the beach chickens work the crowd and pick through picnic baskets.

Just popping in to say hello and catch up.
I seem to have been focused on my knitting lately.
Hope all is well with everyone.
Enjoy the day.

Good Morning.
There is one thing that I don't think I will ever forget about the Panama Canal. That is getting up early and looking at all the ships surrounding us, waiting for their turn to go through the Canal. It had a rather eerie feeling to it.
I am trying to remember which photos I have previously posted. If I make any duplications we will put it down to an aging brain.

Good Morning.
A quick update on the forest fire that has been impacting my cousin. My cousin is still under an evacuation alert. The good news is that the fire has decreased in size from approx 250 hectares to 181 hectares as of yesterday.
We were in Sitka in 2012 on the Amsterdam. Lovely little town. I will try not to repeat photos, but no promises.

Good Morning.
I heard from my cousin last night and she said that the evacuation order has been lifted\ Although they are able to return home they are still under alert. Plus the sprinkler systems placed on the roofs by the firefighters are still in place.

Grown a great deal is probably an understatement 😉 The Great White Mountain dogs are a good size 👍
They definitely are.
I am actually looking forward to the chaos that will ensue when they visit. Love a house with big dogs.

Good Morning.
The news I had from my cousin yesterday was that a fire guard had been built around the fire. Plus they had a down pour of rain with no lightening. As far as I know they are still evacuated.
This is Blanche as a puppy. Blance is a Great Pyrenees blend and has grown a great deal since this photo was taken a year ago. She is my DS' dog.

Good Morning.
@Live4cruisescongratulations on your retirement.
It is a beautiful sunny day and the heat was not overbearing when I had Ellie out for her walk earlier. Hopefully the remainder of the day stays that way.
I have not heard from my cousin yet today. The provincial forest service website is showing no changes in the fire since yesterday. So hoping that no news is good news.

My cousin has told me that the fire has spread, but no homes have been consumed. Her dh and ds are both safe.
