Most cabanas are for 6 people. Only one person needs to do the rental. Pay for it and collect the funding from the others off-line. Cabanas get lunch deliverd to the cabana but you are welcome to check out the other offerings on the island (The food is a lot more diverse and better than it was in 2017). As far as what to do, you can hang out at the cabana (I'd recommend south beach as it is quiet and tranquil). Use the pools, snorkel, eat, eat, oh, did I say eat, drink (your shipboard drink package works here), If you are into water parks, you can purchase a pass for, imho a fortune, you can take the baloon ride, you can zip-line. it's totally up to what you want to do (or not) during your day there.

That was for a one time passage. If I remember correctly, Oasis went into a drydock prior to sailing from Cape Liberty at which time the motors that lowered her stacks were tuned up and reconfigured for regular use, not one-time only. If RCI decides to put another Oasis class ship there they would probably do the same.

I do not believe that any Oasis class ships, other than Oasis, can make it under the VZ Bridge. Oasis Class ships also cannot make it into Bermuda, the channel is not wide/deep enough for them.

Don't forget that there is a drydock facility in the Bahamas. They have not sent the larger ships there as That is where the accident was a couple of years ago with Oasis.

If you look at my profile you will see that I have cruised mostly on RCI, but that will soon change. After I cruise in March I will become Diamond on RCI and use my "matched" level and cruise on Celebrity as "elite". I have found that I enjoy the more laid back vibe of X over the busy vibe on RCI. One announcement a day is more than enough for me, I don't need any of the poolside activities, but I will miss the "Quest". I enjoy the food more on X and, whenever possible, sail in an Aquaclass cabin (I love Blu).. The buffet on Celebrity seems to be more civil, not as much a feeding frenzy as well, and their homemade ice cream and pizza is really good !! I will still cruise on RCI as I have a bunch of friends who mainly cruise on RCI because of its larger presence in the northeast (one of the couples will not fly and has not shown any interest in taking a train to FL to join us down here). One word sums it up for me: SMOKING. Celebrity does not allow it anyplace indoors, RCI does, including the casino. It's a breath of fresh air (pun intended) to go into the casino without having to hold your breath !!
