  1. Freestyle Daily - full PDF Day 1 and Day 2 Prima TA Apr 2024 free-style-daily-01.pdf Prima Apr 2024 TA free-style-daily-02.pdf
  2. Today's discounted WiFi Internet upgrade price (free - after using non-refundable OBC) after trade up credit of $145, computer at $25 p/d x 14 days. Not based on any Latitudes discount (25% for Diamond) not combinable. Daily rates is $30 p/d for 11 (10 ??) days or less.
  3. Hi - en route to Halifax, ship change clock 1 hour ahead at 2 PM to ADT - 3 PM today. Slight confusion as onboard time was changed in the morning.
  4. Station Zebra likely go into limited or Semi-Live mode over next 30 hours, until we upgrade to unlimited WiFi. VZB ahead and expect signals to fade, will play by ears. No reservation for dinner tonight, planning to go around 8 PM.
  5. Staten Island & the free ferry. Bayonne Bridge in NJ and Cape Liberty ... our next embarkation port this Fall 🫢🤔🤗😉🤫
  6. Photos as we sail from Pier 88 - 6:15 PM Looks like a good ride for this segment. ETA arrival, Halifax at 5:30 AM 29th April
  7. Views outside and below us - midship on Deck 10 - Horn being blasted, wow - we are going. Getting underway, I am impressed at the speed. Most luggage already disappeared, some unclaimed outside along the corridor. Yes, sideways moving and backing out - nice job.
  8. Mandatory safety drills done over PA again, looks like everything on the pier below is wrapping up. Maybe we will sail sooner than later. Luggage drop onboard earlier, if only everyone knew What, people are hungry and going to the buffet for dinner already. It's freestyle dining, huh. 😁😋🫢
  9. Late lunch in the Hudson MDR on the Hudson River, already 3:45 PM and folks still being seated. Meanwhile, crews preparing tables for dinner 😬 in less than 2 hours.
  10. See how they load and transfer luggages in carts & lifting up using the forklift - safety netting below with the gap between ship & pier.
  11. Facial recognition starts inside the pier at security checkpoint, before going thru X-Ray screening. Check in was very quick when we got there at the priority counters for Ambassadors & Diamonds, Sapphire too - I think. Boarding started already, calling Group 15+ (ours were #9) We boarded via Fwd gangway, a fairly short walk. Issues with SIL keycard & stalled for 20 minutes. Stopped at CruiseNext desk to do the signing up. Hudson MDR extended hours for lunch, and heading their next.
  12. Our car service driver took me on a side trip, joy ride but most definitely not boarding anytime soon. DW said expect 1 hour wait to get past security plus boarding. I am ready for afternoon high tea & skip lunch, then do dinner. Those coming off are sent across 12th Ave for transportation. Patience are going to run thin. Just, Let it be. Can't change what's not in one's control. On lower or street level - traffic jam for buses just as bad as upstairs 6 PM sail away # cough # cough
  13. As in Simon & Garfunkel's classic music with the 59th Street Bridge, going across town on 55th Street ... almost there. Check in won't open till noon, friend's Intel team already there - 2 blocks out.
  14. Car service is early, en route & passing LGA now 😎 traffic on the parkway - van is at no additional charge.
  15. Thanks Jim and all that are following, wishing more of you are onboard ... we'll do our best to entertain, share, tell, joke and have fun - especially good times, and, post pictorial memories as best as we can ... open invitation for those on the CC roll board to contribute (and/or do their unique semi-live report) Also, @travelicious has 48 day adventure - follow them too. Signing off my PC, local car service called and pickup at 10:30 for a quick ride over (less than Carmel) being neighborhood-based from Flushing, NY See all onboard soon.
  16. @JIMESOPUS Not quite, remember "The Sound of Music" as a kid then. What is important, being young at heart and staying healthy, keep on cruising. Looks like she's just about lined up for Pier 88, start those lines & once gangways are secured - let the 1/2 mile marathon race for the express self walk-off begin shortly. I have very little doubts in my mind, tracking her move & speed, the last 15 hours sailing here was throttled, not because of maritime regulations and speed enforcement ... I just don't buy it, IMHO, of course. We will be kind to the officers and crew, it's beyond their pay grades. @Fogfog - good morning, you can safely check out at 11 AM and hail a taxi over, probably difficult to find an Uber as they'll over there accepting jobs to the airports for souls running behind schedule. I'm still on my keyboard at home ... 30 minutes ride over. "In theory," Prima had ample time to trim her speed for an earlier arrival time than now - staying at 20 - 21 kts. instead of slowing down to 17 - 18 kts while still off the NJ coastline, until she reach Ambrose/Sandy Hook ... entrance toward NY Lower Bay. But, it is what it is - those sailing on the Getaway, 2 days from now, on the TA are likely looking at the same "drill"
  17. Coming toward & passing the Meatpacking District ... "The Vessel" ahead, starboard side. She is on the Hudson River now, another 30 minutes ... hopefully, docked and have the gangways set up for disembarkation. Ship livecam time is set to Iceland already ?
  18. Coney Island out in Brooklyn - anyone out there watching the Prima ... used to be able to watch ships from Shore Road near the VZBridge. Oh dear, looking more than 9:30 AM before she can dock - not pretty. Folks, join us at the Hudson for dinner on the Hudson, we are definitely going to be there after 6 PM and not moving, "no way ... Jose" forgetaboutit. All my (ours) bags are packed and ready to go ... not leaving, on a jet plane 😀 - the fifth bag belongs to sister-in-law.
