  1. Hi jimbo1683, the Lido alternative menu you attached is from last year. Queen Elizabeth was trialling it as Modern British theme, and we had it last September. It was very good, much better than the typical Britannia menu, but it was only available for a few weeks and they have not offered it since. Strangely (or typical of Cunard with their lack of attention to detail), the website and the My Voyage App both show this menu instead of what is actually being currently offered. Also even though Cunard say you can book ahead of the cruise online, it does not actually work. So wait until you are on the ship.
  2. You can’t book them beforehand, but it is possible to book on the My Voyage app once you have set it up after embarkation or phone the Pursers office to make the reservation. I am on Queen Elizabeth now and the only Lido Alternative dining option is Riviera - med themed. I’m not sure if Queen Victoria is doing the same options as QM2 however it is $25 pp.

    Fencing QE?

Yes, fencing was available on Tuesday, but I don’t recall if it was offered yesterday- both were sea days.
  4. I have just spent over 2 hours waiting on hold, on 2 calls to the 034 number on their UK website.Am in the same situation as DebbieMacG, attempting to pay for a cruise. Can someone provide the email address for Azamara which is being monitored by them so I can ask how someone in the UK can make a payment. Thanks!
  5. To clarify, early dining is 5.45pm to be seated by 6.15pm and late dining 8.15pm to be seated by 8.45pm. We arrived just after 6pm last night and would guess only a minority arrived at 5.45pm as most tables were still empty. Main course has been served @7pm. Afternoon tea is 3pm.
  6. Totally up to you depending how much energy after your tour. There are lots to see/do in Toulon , maybe google it if you are genuinely interested?
  7. All Celebrity ships are too big to dock in the Port of Nice, so they actually mean anchoring off Villefranche. Look it up on a map. Absolutely beautiful. Get a tender to shore. You can DIY local bus/train to many interesting places if you don't want to walk around Villefranche. Trains are very cheap. I don't recommend the local bus serve at Villefranche these days, as they are full of people to/from Monte Carlo all the time. But still very cheap if you want to do it. Trains are better but can still be very crowded. Corsica on Celebrity will probably be Ajaccio so you can DIY. Lovely town, full of history, beautiful scenery and good local food market 10 minutes from when you get off the ship, also Napoleon's birthplace nearby. Marseille for the Celebrity ships, unfortunately you will be at the new cruise port which is horrible and a long way from the heart of Marseille. DIY- if you know how - otherwise you need the ship shuttle into town. Marseille is truly interesting, however if you have never been to this region before, a trip to Aix-en-Provence or to the Luberon may be what would appeal to you more.
