  1. Spire2000 is correct! I have exceeded the bandwidth and will upgrade my account this evening. We just returned from a cruise Sunday and I have lots of pictures to upload to Photobucket and another review to write. We tried NCL for the first time last week: took the Jewel out of New Orleans to Cozumel, Roatan, Belize, an Costa Maya. I think I hit my record on number of photos taken! Lots of amazing snorkeling in Roatan and Costa Maya, and cave tubing in Belize.

ok, will wait patiently! LOL we did the western this past summer so looking forward to those pics as well

  2. The cruise!

After having breakfast at the hotel restaurant (which was not very good by the way), we took a taxi to the port around 10 AM, which took a whole 5 minutes! It was a busy day at the Port of Miami, with 5 large ships there: Celebrity Reflection, MSC Divinia, Carnival Liberty and Breeze and Norwegian Epic. Although it was busy, we encountered no problems and made our way through the check in process in less than 15 minutes. We had Faster to the Fun, which didn’t do much to help us bypass lines, because there were none this early, but we were among the first to board, which was pretty awesome. Unfortunately, me and my brother’s room was not quite ready, but my parents’ was, so we just stashed our carry-on baggage there until later. Our room was 6203, at the very front of the ship overlooking the bow. It’s considered an inside room, but has a large window overlooking a deck. The view is obstructed by some railings, but you can still see the sea and sky. The only catch is that the curtains have to be shut at night for the safety of navigation.

  3. Hi

Where was your muster drill. On the open decks or in a lounge? Sailing 02/06 and it has been quite cool here in Myrtle Beach so do I need a jacket.

If you were in the water at Nassau how was the temperature?

Thanks for your help this is not my normal cruise time and I am not sure if I would even attempt the water.

    Thanks

    pat

    murrells inlet, sc

The muster drill started out in the main lounge. Then they made us go outside to where the lifeboats and our station was. It was cold! Bring a jacket

We did not go in the water. I thought it would be too cold for me. Nassau was warm but Freeport was very windy. We usually cruise during the summer so this was definitely colder than what we were used to

  4. We have cruised on the Fantasy and Fascination. On both, they started off inside and they went over the life vests and all of that stuff. After that, they took us out to the area in front of the boats and finished it up.

this is how it was on the Fantasy a few weeks ago. see if you can get a spot against the ship and everyone in front of you can keep you warm. :)

  5. Maybe they are going to put a different ship in Baltimore and improve the service and the entertainment.

    that would be great!!

I have found out that the announcement will be on 1/22 at 3 pm

I may have to leave work early on that day :D

  6. We did a private Jewish Heritage tour with Gigi Scheper March 6 and it was wonderful. Two in our group used canes and there was very little walking involved. The only challenging place was the cemetery where the area was uneven so some in the group remained at the gates. We parked right by the synagogue and the pace on the rest of the tour was great for those who needed a bit more time to walk. You can find my post under "What was your favorite thing to do in Curacao?" It is #13. Please let me know if you have any questions.
