Great idea, Carole.
A ship-wide scavenge-hunt is what we thought we were entering when we went along to an RCI-organised "Quest" on-board.:)
Those of you who know about Quest will know that it's very very different :o:D
And not something to get the kids involved in.
JB :)
hee hee! know it well :D oh funny pictures but I think very few Carnival ships have it anymore

Michelle,
Recently we've travelling with our extended family. To add a little 'zing' to the cruise, I divide us up into teams and have a cruise scavenger hunt!
It started out as a way for the kids to get involved and have some specific pictures as memento of the cruise, but has blossomed into a full out competition now!
I have a list if you are interested. It won't be fun if there are just the two of you tho!
thanks everyone! we definitely have done most of the stuff listed in the daily activities fun times (including the hairy chest contest LOL). I am definitely writing some of these suggestions down!
Carole- instead of a scavenger hunt I created a bingo sheet. same items but randomly placed on each sheet. we will just hang out on the Lido and see who wins (all things can be found on the Lido)

Im looking for 'different' things one might do on the ship. not the typical bingo, casino, shows, trivia, etc. I tried to search but nothing came up. I thought I saw a thread but cant find it.
anyone have any ideas? something special you like to do?

that was a long line you waited in for the burger.
I like the potato sticks on the condiment bar

Over the years -- with many cruises under our belt -- we have seen a lot of strange things.
Like the woman who brought her own mustard and jellies onto the ship and pulled them out of a bag she always carried.
We just laugh it off.
that is so funny. my friend from England brings his own strawberry jam to tea time for his scones because the ship doesn't have it.

There are different types of tags.
Some lines send out ones that stick together. Nothing more to do.
Some send out ones that are on card board like paper with strings. Nothing more to do.
And some have you print them out yourself on paper. If this is the kind you are asking about you can buy plastic inserts.
Cruise Critic has in their on line store.

im not a gambler either. is the free cruise just an inside cabin for a 3 day cruise or is it more than that?

I remember seeing a picture of the port with directions and arrows showing you how to drive (someone created it). anyone remember this picture and where it might be? I checked on the Charleston board a bunch of pages back but didn't see it. maybe someone's review? would love to have it for my trip down next week

Wife and I have cruised during september and last year in August for son's Magic Wedding. This year we booked my birthday cruise on Magic (12/8-12/15). WE LOVED IT !! It felt like ship was 50% full and enjoyed it 100%. We've had a cruise where we missed 2 ports and i thought that was the best cruise...nope. December cruises will be in our schedule from now on. Does not hurt that we are 15-20 minutes from Galveston but leaving Galveston in 30 degree weather and having 5+ days of 85 degree weather was sooooo right.
Wife and i shake our heads when we hear the complaints by cruisers. Steak too small? Huh?? Why are dining staff dancing? huh? Why we leaving 15 minutes late? Huh? Our dining staff was slow vs other staffs and we took it in stride. VACATION !!!! December 2014 i will celebrate my 50th birthday and the list is growing of friends/family that will cruise on Magic. I don't have 1 complaint on Carnival...except for annoying passengers who complain about everything.....lol Sales pitch?? Just say no thanks. Noone forcing you to buy pictures...lol:D:D
agree!! sailing next week and cant wait!!

I would definitely book another cruise with Matt. I Usually ignored the CD announcements, but whenever Matt was speaking I stopped, dropped and rolled on the ground laughing!!!! Do yourself a favor and go Glory!!!!
I would have to agree!! and nice to look at!
Jaime was great too! took extra time to spend with my group!
