  1. My wife and I are considering sailing on her. We are elite with Princess and have sailed RCCL 8 times. Can anyone give us some guidance as to their experience? First time with Celebrity.

I also agree with another poster, that the experience will be more like Princess, but I would say it will be a step up from Princess. If you have some specific questions let us know!!

  2. We will be boarding "Millie" in less than 4 weeks and would like someone to help with these -

We have booked a regular balcony cabin, do we have a coffee machine in the cabin?

Are we supplied with bath robes?

Is there a promenade deck where we can do laps of the ship in the morning or is it just the jogging track?

When are we likely to be able to get into our cabins on embarkation day?

    Thank you in advance.

Millie does not have coffee pots in rooms.

Not sure about bath robes, I think if you are elite they do.

There is a promenade deck, but last year on Summit there were signs everywhere that said no exercising.

The rooms are usually ready around 1 pm.

    Have a great cruise.

  3. Best bet would be to order a hard copy Celeb brochure with pictures descriptions and deck plans,..they also have same info on line,.,

Others may be able to offer a concise list of differences but that's alot of info to convey..,

Agreed, but here is a quick list.

S Class are much bigger, but neither class ever feel crowded.

S Class has the Lawn Club area, M Class does not.

The suites seem bigger on S Class, but the concierge class rooms on M Class are larger.

They have solsticized the M Class ships, so they include a lot of the popular venues that the S Class ships have such as the martini bar.

It may be easier to answer specific questions if you have them.

  4. The only way I can imagine is to take an Apple TV with you. But a lot of times the connections on the TVs are disconnected. You would also have to have two separate internet packages because you can only have one device at a time logged in.

My guess is that it would be cheaper to just pay for the movies through the tv.

That being said, I am not even sure you can connect an Apple TV to VOOM on RCI. Let us know if you figure something out!

  5. You can drink the wine in your room, they let you take it to the room. If you take it to a restaurant, they may charge you a cork age fee.

Windjammer is not open all day, closed for a couple of hours in the afternoon and late at night. For MDR you are either assigned the early or late seating. You can also do Any time Dining, but we have never done that so no idea how that works....

  6. There are computer lounges as you call them, but the internet is just as slow everywhere, it is much more expensive to pay by the minute than to get a package and just enjoy that it is already paid for and not have to worry about the bill at the end of the cruise. I would recommend the package.

  7. Celebrity is a great line. We prefer Celebrity to all others, however Royal is a close second. If you have any type of status on Royal, sign up for The Captains Club on Celebrity and they will give you reciprocal benefits.

The casinos do not allow smoking and are quite nice. The are also part of M Life through MGM, check on line for more info.

As mentioned above you can purchase liquor for your cabin on-line prior to the cruise or when on board.

The food on Celebrity is quite good, except I am not a fan of the room service menu.

  8. Sky Suites on Celebrity get all suite perks (WiFi, Premium drinks package, gratuities and OBC). You are also entitled to Luminae and Michael's Club. A Jr Suite on RCCL gives you nothing except CK for dinner only on some ships. So you need to price Sky Suite vs Jr Suite apples to apples - add those costs to the Jr Suite to get similar pricing. Unless of course you just want a larger room with no other perks.

Don’t forget about the Butler! Have always loved having a Butler and room steward!

  9. We wanted to host a cocktail party in our suite and the concierge told us we would have to pay for the booze, appetizers and bartenders, which we were totally happy to do. Our room steward told us he would take care of everything. He set everything up and served our group at no charge. For anything! There were about 20 of us. He was awesome and we definitely took care of him for the week!

  10. We are going on a cruise that was kind of last minute booking, so there was not a log of cabins to pick from. Doing a B2B on the Liberty. First leg we are on the 8th deck inside. Second leg deck 2 inside. Usually we have a balcony, but we have had inside rooms in the past. Just curious as how the bottom of the ship will be. We make the most of every cruise, and I believe we will have a wonderful time. This is our second B2B on Liberty, had a hump balcony and loved it. Anyway would love to hear from those who have sailed on the bottom!

Nope! You are on a cruise. They are small but oh well you are on a cruise!

  11. I also had converted points prior to the new system. While we typically stay in suites, not the penthouse or Royal- I do not think we will ever reach Zenith. We sometimes sail on Royal also and are Diamond members, without the reciprocity.

But with Celebrity, we are almost halfway to Zenith and unless Celebrity creates another tier, we probably will never reach Zenith. Since we do sail in suites, we enjoy Michael's club. We have had very positive experiences in it. Our favorite Michael's club hostess is Jolie. Hope we have her again on another sailing. We also used to like Lionel-but he left Celebrity years ago.

    Lionel was great!
