  1. Due to very windy conditions, we gave up our original plans to take the Arubus to the beach. However, here is how you do it, if you are interested. If the directions are not clear, there are also YouTube videos - just google Arubus. TIP: The Arubus is an easy, cheap, safe way to go to the public beaches in Aruba. You can also walk to a close beach by turning left out of the port. All beaches in Aruba are public, so you can use the beaches in front of hotels and resorts too. Below, is a picture to show how to get to the Arubus - Walk along the walkway indicated by the blue arrow, Turn right past Diamonds international, on the left side of the street is a tunnel through the building that least to the Arubus terminal indicated by the green arrow:
  2. Yes, there is. I will post some of that for you. It can all be accessed in the app. The will give you an idea of what to expect. If you have specific age requests, I can share more about that.
  3. We had a fun “empty ship” day in Aruba… Got a bit behind with organizing photos. Will try to catch up tomorrow afternoon, since we have a short day in Curaçao. Although we did not get off the ship today, I will post tips about our previous visits to Aruba, as well as our favorite excursion. 🙂 Keep an eye on this space.

  5. My View: End of day 3 - At Sea Sunset from our Cove Balcony:
  6. Our Favorite Live Music so far: Latin Beat in Havana Bar We ended the evening in the Havana Bar. The atmosphere was very lively with some excellent dancing! Havana Bar Drinks menu: Cuban Iced Tea: I LOVE the edible straws they serve with milkshakes and cocktails on Carnival! What a great idea. 🙂
  7. TIP: When the Liquid Lounge (Main Show Lounge) is open without a show scheduled, walk around to find good seating. The design is the worst I have seen, as it is very difficult to find good seats where you can see the whole stage. Many shows also overflow into the deck 4 seating area, so it can be a fun interactive experience if you find a good seat.
  8. Evening Entertainment: Strings! TIP: Check your app from time to time for changes. They changed the main show on us - we would have missed Strings if we had not noticed the change in the app. First, the positive: The strings were excellent! These violinists are very skilled and a joy to watch. The choreography was very good and the costumes were beautiful. Special effects were great on the digital screen and the decor was effective, except for the unfortunate huge rose that blocked your view if you sat on deck 5. Unfortunately, there was one big negative: It was hard to believe this was the same cast as the night before. The singing was extremely pitchy. Only 3 songs were executed well. It makes me wonder if the singers could not hear the accompaniment well.
  9. Dinner (because I did not take pictures of coffee or nap time - you can thank me later): We decided not to go to the MDR since DS just wanted pizza and we decided to have deli subs. I forgot to take pics of the Deli subs, but I am sure we will repeat these again later this week. TIP: Most of the meals from the MDR are also served in the buffet. Options are much more limited than before - definitely a money saving strategy, but I still found plenty of great options for dinner. Even the Bitter & Blanc, which is quite the rave among CC Carnival cruisers, was available in the MDR. In the pictures, you can see the Jambalaya Pasta, Fish, Chicken Roulade, Honey Glazed Pork, Stuffed Portobello Mushroom… They also had the shrimp cake. DH had 2 of the stuffed portobello mushrooms - they were excellent.
  10. Just to throw in something other than food porn… I love the stairwell photography displays!
  11. Our day was pretty much… eat… balcony… eat…balcony… coffee… balcony…eat… balcony….nap…coffee… balcony…etc. 😄 Lunch: Burritos from Blue Iguana - excellent. DS got shrimp and roasted corn. DH got beef and just about everything. TIP: The Burritos are a bit small, so consider ordering 2. I had the West Indies Pumpkin Soup, which was also available on the dinner menu. (Excellent)
  12. Found a couple more ducks! Thanks to the generous donors… we pay it forward by giving them to kids or hiding again. DH is in the lead with 5 ducks to my 1 😄
  13. My View, most of the day: Lots of Sea Spray on the Cove Balcony today, but a beautiful view:
  14. Breakfast Part 2 - MDR DS ‘sleeps in’ until 8, so we accompanied him to the MDR for brunch. Of course, we had to sample some goodies too. Huevos Rancheros at brunch: (Good, but not excellent like at Blue Iguana) TIP: You can have the eggs made “your way” at Blue Iguana too - scrambled, sunny side up, over easy, etc. Skillet Cake - Still Excellent, with a side of corn beef hash 12-hour French Toast: (A No Go - should have known it would be dry after 12 hours 🤣)
  15. Breakfast -Part one - Blue Iguana Our first duck find: Huevos Rancheros for DH - Excellent 🙂 better than the brunch version in the MDR: Arepas - Excellent - my weakness!
  16. Thanks to everyone for following along! I will start day 3 soon… enjoying sunset from our balcony. 🙂
  17. 👉 Hoping someone else will be able to answer this, as we don’t buy any special meals.
  18. Day 2 At Sea FUN TIMES Download PDF here: WHAT'S HAPPENING.pdf
  19. Show: We went to the show for about 15 minutes. The voices were excellent, but it was not our cup of tea.
  20. Dessert: Melting Chocolate Cake - this time with peanut butter on the side: Excellent Grand Marnier Soufflé: Excellent
  21. Entrees: Jumbo Shrimp and Fish Cake: Excellent Indian Vegetarian - very strong curry this time: Excellent Roasted Chicken: Excellent
