  1. Recycle Art: Some fun playground equipment I remember having as a child - back when we learned to be responsible for our own safety… 😉! On the way back to the ship:
  2. Some Views on our Tour: Motorcycles were everywhere - often with 2 school kids as passengers - they were so friendly!
  3. La Romana: We had planned just to walk around the port, until DH saw a train/trolley tour for $25 per person. We decided to sign up for that at the last minute. It was a great tour to see a little bit of the city. The people were extremely friendly, waving at us. We had a police escort that stopped traffic so that the train-trolley could move through safely without stopping. You can pay in port for this same tour, but in a new port we prefer a ship excursion to see if it is a viable option for a future independent tour. TIP: This ship will NOT wait for you if you are late on a private tour. It is best to do a tour through Carnival in this port. It was reported on our trip group that some people missed the ship due to bad traffic returning to the ship. I hope they made it back by taking a road trip to Amber Cove…
  4. I know they sang “Yellow Submarine”, then followed by 3 songs in a row that we did not know, so we left. They said it was “The Rooftop Concert”. They made comments like, ‘If you didn’t know that one, you probably will not know the next 2 songs either.” So, the band admitted that they were not the most known songs. I guess a die-hard Beatles fan will know them. 😄
  5. Morning Fun: Since we had a later arrival in La Romana, we used the opportunity to do the ropes course. Unfortunately, the SkyRide was closed due to rain earlier. They will not open the SkyRide if it is wet. TIP: Make sure you wear dry clothes, longer shorts or pants, and closed-toe shoes for the ropes course and the SkyRide. You don’t want to lose your place in line due to not meeting the requirements.
  6. Early Morning Views: I love a Cove Balcony Sunrise with Coffee:
  7. They are good, but we were very disappointed in their Beatles tribute. They did not sing most of the popular songs. I don’t know why they sang many unknown songs…
  8. FUN TIMES: Day 5 - Curaçao Download PDF: Day 5.pdf
  9. My View: End of Day 5: Willemstad, Curaçao: One of my favorite art photos on the ship!
  10. Evening Entertainment with Buck and Oz: We love their style - it is a pity they mostly play in the brewhouse where there is an up charge for dinner. IMG_7499.mov
  11. Dinner - Day 5 - Curaçao: We ate dinner in the MDR for a change. This menu was not accurate. We had to order from a printed menu. It was similar. Fried Shrimp: (Okay - it was a little bland) Seafood Newburg (Okay - not what we had expected with just a little piece of pastry): Veal Schnitzel: (Okay) Lamb Shank (Excellent): Dutch Double Chocolate Pave (Excellent):
  12. TIP: How to see all the activities in the kids’ programs while using the HUB app: 1. Choose Free Wifi (if you don’t have an internet plan): 2. Tap on the three lines on the left top: 3. Tap on “Kids & Teens”: 4. Tap on the age group you want to see: 5. Tap on “View Activities” to see the daily schedule: 6. You can also scroll to different days at the top:
  13. I will gladly put together a step by step for you 🙂 I find things by tapping on everything, except the ‘Purchase’ button. LOL!
  14. Views while Sailing Away: I wish we had a longer stay in Curaçao! Equinox had an overnight stay - would have loved that! Until next time, Willemstad:
  15. @dlphn501 Here are the activities for Club O2 and Circle C for day 1:
  16. My pleasure! It is more fun to share than to hog the cruise for myself…LOL!
  17. Yes, I can still see those in the app. I will post the screenshots soon for night 1. I also took screenshots of two sea days to give an idea of the activities. Will post them shortly. 🙂
  18. Yes, the wifi that is provided for the use of the HUB app is the ‘free internet’. It will momentarily download email and sometimes even WhatsApp messages. 🙂
  19. Thank you! Many tips I learned here on CC too 🙂
  20. Be very careful to check with your own cellular service… not all plans are the same. About a month ago, we switched to T-Mobile, because I think Verizon coverage is going the way of the dodo. For our Verizon plan, we had to pay $5 per day for Mexico and Canada, and $10 per day for other specific countries to use our phones. For T-Mobile, we chose a plan that includes 215+ countries for free data and texting, and 25c per minute for phone calls. It really depends on the plan you get and how old your plan is! 🙂 Don’t assume these answers apply to your specific contract with the cell company.
  21. That is all I have energy for tonight… Getting a bit behind, but we have a sea day on Saturday, when I will catch up. We have a few fun views still to share of Curaçao, then our memorable day in La Romana… Keep cruising along. Thanks for all the likes and views 🙂 Cruise Critic may be much more quiet since 2020, but it is still my favorite space for the BEST cruise tips and information. If you have requests, I have 2 more days to find information for you. If I somehow missed a request, please repost. I think I covered all of them to date. 🛳️ Happy Cruise Dreams!
  22. TIP: Always keep your eyes on the water while you walk along the pier. We have seen so much sea life along different piers in different ports, including jellyfish, Nemo, Dory, and sea turtles… Saw this little turtle friend from deck 5 - swimming along the pier:
